I want to find the sound files for guns shooting.  Anyone know where to find them, as in what directory?  Thanks.

NOTE: DO NOT FOOL AROUND WITH THESE.  If you are thinking of customizing your game with special laser beam sounds or something....don't.  If you change these, Punkbuster will not let you play online anymore.

That said...check this zipped folder:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects_client.zip

Navigate around..ie Weapons/Handheld/USSNI_M95_Barret/Sounds

Copy and paste them out somewhere, would be my advice.

You can d/l the latest editor  here and make a simple mod...

After you create a mod you can edit and change the sounds of guns,vehicles etc...

and yes the sounds are in the object.zip...

He's right, I wanted to find the sound files to put them in a movie type of setting, and thank you I found them.

I figured that as well, which is why I bothered to answer.  You're welcome.

I just had to add the warning in case you were up to something else...personal experience, I had to uninstall/reinstall BF2 after trying to change the menu music.
