I was checking out an old battlerecorder-file when something caught my eye; a little cube with the texture for the plane in question.. Located in the hulls of the planes.

If this has been posted before, feel free to direct me to the correct thread. In that case my searching skills have been impaired and I need to reschool myself in the fine art.

So, anyone know what these are for?

their the uvw maps used for texturing the jets, thats how game meshes are textured,& how they look before being applied to the models using uvw coordinates to stick each part of the picture to the right places on the meshes.
why u can see them ingame & why their in cube form i have no idea lol.

Its to make your own glider version of the jets out of balsa wood. Just put the balsa wood in your printer...

That's, like, wierd. I can't think of any reason, what-so-ever, why they should be there. Well, most likely they're a debugging thing, but debugging what I'm not sure...

It was already explained. That's just the design of the jet, which is blown up and applied to the jet itself.

Yeah, yeah, I know what the images that are on the cubes are - but not why the cubes are even there in first place.

Yeah, yeah, I know what the images that are on the cubes are - but not why the cubes are even there in first place.
In order to determine that, another piece of information is needed: Are these cubes found in ground-based vehicles? If not, I'd assume it has something to do with the jet's movement in 3d space.

The ground vehicles move in 3d space too. Have you never driven a jeep over one the many ramps to be found around several of the maps?
