Mages > all.

Dark Brotherhood has all the best rewards.

Oblivion Gates are the spawn of the devil.  They are only cool the first few times, not the next ten you have to complete to win.
dremora quests give better rewards

and u only have to close the main plot gates the rest continues respawning all over the world

This is not a sensible reply to the OP:

"just curious as to how many people here play it, and what your fave race is. mines the khajiit"

I hate Ferrari.

Didn't make much sense posting it in this thread now did it?

I started a new profile dedicated to Hand-to-Hand combat.

i also picked a few new magicka skills so i could finally Soul Trap things and not have to pay 2400 gold to get my Chillrend re-charged

It's a good game, and has the best graphics in any game i've played. I just think it has some balance issues. I don't like the pointless leveling, you don't feel like you're achiving anything if you're not actually any more effective, with enemies levelling at the same rate as you.

Plus after doing just a couple of Dark Brotherhood qs i was given the Sufferthorn dagger which seems to be able to kill most things in one hit. (tho i'm only level 9) It makes it too easy, i finished all the Arena matches getting Grand Champion and never once lost more than half of my health bar...

My wife got it the day it came out for me. I have to admit, the Dark Brotherhood quests made that game great. But, sadly, I got bored. I found the cheats and made my player with all attributes at 200 and just ran around the game killing shit. It was fun for a bit, but I finally gave up on the game. I might get into it when I get my new monitor, so I can finally see the game the way it was supposed to be seen.

Shit yeah, that was one tough bitch. I got her health down to about 1/4 and it wouldn't move from there, but up! So, I just laid fireballs on her until she died. Used her sword for the rest of the game, her armor was fucking bad ass too.

How about Fable The Lost Chapter? I think that was a very fine game, played a lot "smoother" than Oblivion, not only graphical, but also just the gameplay... Can't wait for Fable 2 to come out... on pc... if that ever comes...

I heard that ranged spellcasters have it bad. Is that true in all cases?

not really, i use staffs alot and they tend to kill most things in 1 or 2 hits, and most of my other ranged ones arent bad.

but if worst comes to worst, ive always got my good ole' "Fist to Armour Plate" style that seems to work well

I've played the full version for about forty hours, off and on. I've never gotten on the main quests because frankly, they're not as interesting as the side quests (which are well written and executed). However, the title is plagued by a myriad of game-stopping bugs (poor developer), glitches, and a tacked-on horseback feature that does not allow you do to anything other than turn slightly in the saddle. Take my advice: if you are going to get a game for mounted combat, try Call of Juarez. If you want hack'n'slash, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is turning out to be a promising release. Demos are available for both.

Also, for more RPG's, keep an eye on Gothic III, NWN II and Sacred II.

And frankly, the Elder Scrolls levelling system is a bit irrelevant. I haven't had to sleep (in-game) once, it was so easy. You can get stronger by repeating actions without increasing level.

Oblivion is good but morrowind was better because it seemed bigger. I love the helm you get from the gray fox when completeing the theives guild quests and the improved arrow system. My race is orc tho, I like the big brute dumbasses

Morrowind did seem bigger. Perhaps it was because so much of the map wasn't visible in vast panorama, but it doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed Morrowind and its expansions much more than Oblivion.

I have to say its was good for a while but i got bored.

I think if you could multiplay the game i would be still playing it.
I got bored once i had hit level 17 knight, race nord.

Nearly finished all the main quests(the blades) and went off to do other things.Becoming the grand champion and top of the mages guild. After all that still lost intrest.I never played morrowind and used to watch my friends play it thinking you have lost your soul to it lol.

And as someone has said before the level up's didn't make it feel like you were progressing at all.Not that i needed any help as i was like a tank!.

they probably took that out because there is more than just cliffs and houses to land on now. if you could fly in Oblivion, you could glitch the main quest, shut down Oblivion gate 40x faster and exlploring underground ruins would be almost pointless.

im considering buying Morrowind and the Bloodmoon x-pack, do you think its worth it?
