So i when i try to join a server i get error and it says this server only allows players with unmodifield content to join. Revent your version of battlefield 2 to current offical version to join. So i deleted bf2 and reinstall again but still i get the same error does anyone a way to fix this error

A) make sure your ea downloader nick matches your in game nick
B) it seems like i had to reinstall the game, instal euro, then go up to 1.3, but it's been a while, cant remember

I believe people who install EF after 1.3 are having issues getting it to work. You're not supposed to patch straight from 1.0 to 1.3. I'd patch up progressively with incremental patches to 1.22, install EF, patch to 1.3 with the full patch, and then try it. Patching with the full 1.3 patch not via EA downloader supposedly helps game stability; so don't be fooled into doing this straight from installation. Do it over the older patches, and it should work.
i get the same thing, my roommate plays it just fine in the next room, with the same exact version, the same exact patches, etc., etc. our neighbor is in the same boat, and we don't want to delete everything and reinstall just to have the same problem. deleting and reinstalling is a pain in my ass!Private_Adam wrote:

Really? I've been patching throughout all the patches up, installed EF as soon as it came out (1.21 or 1.2?), and patched with the 1.3 incremental via EA downloader. I assumed doing the full patch wouldn't do any harm, as the one I downloaded was supposedly buggy.-=CB=-krazykarl wrote:

just patch 1.3 full and it WILL work . i have this error with AF . i repatch and it works ok
