Cars are getting much heavier as well. Can't wait to die from an autonomous 3 ton Tesla crushing my daily driver.

People who narrate on youtube. The "instructional" voice. You know the one: always with the same cadence, drawing down to end each sentence on the same monotone, occasionally cutting the next sentence in on top of the end of the previous. Intentionally or unintentionally robo. I wouldn't think any were people if I didn't see a face. It's like it's become this whole obnoxious, assumed dialect online that people think informative content is supposed to sound like. They talk in normal conversational tones when doing anything but those kinds of videos.

I wish netflix had a better browser.

I thought so too on a few of them until it cut to the person talking. TikTok robots probably probably have more personality.

Found on imgur. Should be obligatory, if we're not going to stop having mid/end credits stuff. TBH I don't like having to fast forward through them either, although I'll leave them on if there's a rad score.

The fad of adding extra garbage late in the credits is stupid. I hope it passes quickly

doofusman really started going down hill after the whole debacle in doofusman 13 'the doofusman bakers dozen'.

I do love that some directors have been vocally opposed to this stuff in interviews.

Even some video games have stingers in or at the end of credits. I've felt over its novelty for a long time. I don't think it's going away any time soon though, so while we have to deal with it we may as well be fairly informed when we go to see a movie.

I may still hang around to listen to a decent score. Standing at the back is a decent way to do this it seems, since the cleanup crew will just walk past you to sweep up peoples' garbage rather than hang out in the lobby eyeing their watches.

Feels like my third time mentioning this, though I haven't kept track. Uzique, what do your records show?

I remember being excited to see the post credits scenes in the early 2000's X-men and Spiderman movies. Comic book movies were few and far between back then. Now there are just too many comic book movies to care.

Caring is work. You need a chart to keep track of multiple timelines per IP, and have to update it with like 5 or 6 movies a year sometimes. On the off chance you want to marathon 30 movies in chronological order or something. Barf.

Harry Potter couldn't keep stuff straight in 8 movies (going on 11?). How many inconsistencies and plot holes are documentable in the Avengers timeline? You could make a whole YoUtUbE cHaNnEl about it.

e: I agree that it was cute while new though. Samuel Jackson shows up dressed like a Pirate from the Matrix and asks Tony Stark to join their club. "Oooh, what's next?"

No doubt you haven't seen Doofusman 1-17 and don't know what you're talking about - seems to be a bit of a habit.

I should think Cats Gone Wild is non-canon so I wouldn't watch it for that reason.

Bruh, Cats '19 itself is pretty non-canon/fan-ficky. "Do you like my OC!!" They might as well have crossed over into Heathcliff or something.

They should just turn the next one into a cartoon.

Prehistoric Planet coming out on Apple. I don't have Apple, so I went to see if or when it's scheduled anywhere else or on DVD. Found like a half a dozen other docus called "Prehistoric Planet."

Stop. Please, make the titles distinguishable, guys.

I impulse bought some Topps 2022 Series 1 baseball cards out of a box on the counter at Wawa last week.  I wanted to feel the sensation of opening a new pack of collectible cards for the first time since the Yu-Gi-Oh! days in 2003, and I was also hoping that they might appreciate in value someday so I can flip them for $$, but from the research I was doing on it, apparently baseball cards from 1980+ don't really ever become very valuable anymore because nobody really plays baseball anymore, and that means less interest in the cards as well.  So it's mostly older dudes collecting the cards and the value tends to stagnate from a market that isn't really growing and gets flooded with rarer stuff anyway whenever there's an estate sale.  I'm hoping it's not as simple as that but for only $3.59 for the pack and $7.50 for a box of card sleeves off Amazon, I'm not really sweating the investment.

It occurred to me after the purchase though, that card packs were the original lootbox.

I have some of those round-cornered from Mother's Cookies back in the 80s, might be worth something or worth zip. Probably not worth my time to unearth from storage. Probably a handful from the 70s, 80s, early 90s perhaps. I think I have a Nolan Ryan in the bunch, but who didn't.

It seems the popular consensus for baseball card collectors is that anything before the 80s is considered a "Vintage" card, and even then some places still won't take anything after the 60s.

In the junk drawer, I found a 2-pack of the Topps cards that came in Post cereal boxes from 2002, Shawn Green and Pedro Martinez, they're going for a whole $1.50 each on eBay.  The Pedro Martinez one can be considered somewhat sentimental to me, because the one time we ever had baseball playing on TV in my house(nobody in our household was particularly into it, it was just on for some reason), it happened to be the game where Pedro grabbed the old, fat Yankees coach by the ears and threw him into the ground, starting a historically massive fight on the field.
