someone with a rap sheet longer than a saudi's harrods receipt probably isn't acting out of any great deep-born conviction.

if the surface details are correct then it looks like a career criminal and fuck-up went postal. it's hard to seriously affiliate someone with a criminal record like that with any legitimate cause, whether out of opportunism or ex post facto reasoning.

"Turning Ahmaud Arbery into a victim after the choices that he made does not reflect the reality of what brought Ahmaud Arbery to Satilla Shores in his khaki shorts with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails," Hogue said.

The autopsy report of Arbery noted the condition of his toenails. Arbery's mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, left the courtroom after Hogue's remark, saying "I gotta get out of here."

The court room gasped when she mentioned dirty toenails.

They are going to get acquitted. Definitely after that comment. They just dunked on the trespasser hard. No way to recover from that.

Yes, it seems totally reasonable for a court to allow lawyers to smear the state of a victim's pedicure. Also to not allow them to be called victims at all. "Looters," "rioters" more appropriate!

The nice citizen who uttered racial slurs over the body of a dying man bum was just afraid for his neighborhood, all along.

What a joke. I can't wait to hear which serious, heartfelt prayer inspired their acquittal if/when they're acquitted.

That reminds me of a party I was at over the Thanksgiving weekend. I was talking to this cute Indian girl I knew and you can tell she likes me but she had a boyfriend yadda yadda.
