That's what I mean, of the few fps I've played with dualguns on pc they always alternated instead of you selecting which one to fire. Was agreeing, feels weird to fire with right mouse button
Do you have a membership for the epic game store? I already have a copy of GTAV and believe the game is cucked.
Mafia: Definitive Edition

Heck yeah.
Ironically i'm the most excited for releases that give old stuff facelifts and make them run on newer computers.

C&C Remastered gives me the weirdest feeling of nostalgia. Being able to swap between new and old graphics at whim It's made me question if I remember the original correctly, or if my brain has updated my memories on its own. But yeah, they really were that blocky I guess. The revamped "install" screens are cute where it pretends to get confused about sound cards and IRQs and ports before tossing the lot and just selecting "HD audio."
Jukebox is also pretty cool, and lets you share music between the two games.
I do wish they would have improved unit pathing, but get the traditionalist reasons why they kept some of the old jank. But I really did not miss a car getting confused by 3 men on a bridge and then pathing around the center of the map, or just forgetting its movement instructions entirely and parking next to an enemy blob.
I suggest putting it on an SSD if you get a copy.

Steam is promoting "The Best of Battlefield is Back" sale. No BF2, 1942, Vietnam, or 2142.
i don't even recognise the game franchise anymore. battlefield 5 or whatever looked terrible.

I played 10 or less hours of it. So bad. The Social Justice stuff wasn't the bad part of it. I don't mind lady SS. But it had an unlock system, purchasable skins, perks and weapon levels. The combat itself felt bad in a way that is hard to describe. I just don't think World War 1 and 2 infantry weapons make for fun First Person Shooters.uziq wrote:

Also Lady SS
call of duty 1/2 and day of defeat are some of my favourite ever shooting games. i prefer world war 2 to modern warfare. modern warfare shooters inevitably mean all the guns are full-automatic and behave like laser beams. it's very boring. ww2 gives you proper variations and a wide variety of guns. i'm sure it doesn't have to be that way but the game design generally around peak vcod/dod days was better like that. a variety of recoil and play styles.
bolt-action one-shot rifles are some of my favourite weapons ever. it feels so satisfying to use, on the right game engine. even better if there are peeking mechanics. i loved that shit, so twitchy and fast and responsive. compare that to a modern game where everybody has an m4/m16 or something and just jumps around corners holding down their fire button. it gets old real fast.
it's probably related to the ascendancy of consoles and controllers.

I know you like twitch shooters because you are a tweaker but I don't care for them. Tactical shooters with automatic weapons are the perfect blend of intensity and skill. Movement and coordination is more important in those types of games too.
movement is more important in insurgency than quake? l m a o.
positioning, maybe. ok grandpa. enjoy spending 15 minutes setting up an ambush on a bunch of barely sentient opponents. i prefer chess.

Red Orchestra 2 was basically the best FPS experience I ever had. Just the right balance between old-school Rainbow games where you take a step and your crosshair expands to the size of the moon and the other games that take 5-6 hits to kill someone. I've played Squad a bit on freekends and enjoy the urban combat maps, but can't be fucked with the wide open maps where you're getting killed from god knows where all the time.
Apparently it's just a license and a launcher that starts Origin. Doesn't even work for some people.SuperJail Warden wrote:

I would probably play a remastered launch of the 1942/V/2/2142 spread if as much work went into it as the C&C relaunch. I can't bring myself to care much about any of the other BFs.
Open maps in Insurgency are shit too. Urban warfare in BF2, Insurgency, and most other games is just so much fun. It's more dynamic and even fairer for newbies. Just look at the scorecard for the Second Battle of Fallujah.DesertFox- wrote:

You don't get 600 American kills on open maps.
I wonder how much they've made off of GTA Online micro.
i still haven't played that game. i probably should. for some reason the idea of multiple main characters that you rotate through just seemed ehhh. i never liked those squad games.
The annoyance in GTA 5 comes from having to level up three characters, but you have to do them separately. I never did finish it, but I did finish Saints Row 3/4.
I never finished GTA V either. I mentioned about 7 years ago how the story is shit and it is just not enough to motivate you through to the end. I mean you are going to set the story in modern day LA and the best thing you can come up with is bank robbers and this guy? I really can't stand this character. Cartoonish and annoying.
But whatever. I would probably not buy GTA 6 anyway.

I've probably seen better jury-rigged stories in GTA Online RP videos than I was getting from the primary campaign. GTA5's draw for me was really the fidelity and lod that went into the map and textures, and all the little side stuff. I might still be playing it just for the sports if they were a bit more fleshed out.
Also one of the earlier GTA games felt like it was constantly interrupting you with minigames. I don't know who thought that was a good idea. Imagine if Windows asked if you wanted to play freecell every 10 seconds. Uninstall.

In other news, this video showed up in my recommended list. It's part of an interview with the co-creator of X-Box. Funny 3 minute story about how the X-Box nearly didn't get made.
I am happy for you. Your karma is a palindrome by the way. +1 if you can find the palindrome video.
Take it to the crazy karma numbers thread.
The secret gays on the internet are upset that the Last of Us 2 features a lesbian relationship as central and you play as a girl.
Why would anyone be upset about this?
And I am not buying a PlayStation.
