That clip just indicates to me that they need more time with their therapist and maybe not shop at Gamestop if they don't like their policies. I don't see how it points to some inexorable conclusion about the "gay community."

i could not care less. she was the head girl at my local school, a local girl through and through. she wasn’t much liked then, either, and nobody has anything good to say about her in the usual vicious village gossip. that is my only anecdotal interest in joanne rowling.

i am not familiar with them. i don't follow the trans/TERF turf-wars on twitter. it has been incessant for years, i just tuned out. the writer of father ted, graham linehan, also seems to spend about 9 hours a day antagonising the issue and getting everywhere. it's like background noise at this point.
lots of feminists such as germaine greer have come out with similar critiques, i think. again, it's not something i am invested in. it doesn't concern me at all.

i'd hardly call that a 'negative story'. it says as much about typical yokels and provincials who gossip about 'the girl who made good'. i mentioned it to speak to her divisiveness. i don't weigh an opinion or judgment because i simply do not care what a children's author, whose books i have not read, says about trans rights, an issue that affects me zilch.
