no, he means 'dinner'. oklahoma doesn't offer alcohol for breakfast, and being a bible-belt state they are hit and miss offering alcohol for supper, let alone 'breakfast'.

i would surmise extra-meds is the type that plans for contingencies, and does indeed imbibe for breakfast, but has to plan ahead to do so, and does so gleefully. there's no stopping a serial bottle-killer on his scale, and the only thing from him committing genocide on corn alcohol is the current United States subsidy on ethanol for vehicle propulsion.

other than that, i forsee him grabbing a handle of the top, and saving the bottom for lunch.

Anybody else try the Hop Valley 541? Love it.
They're the same people that do the Citrus Mistress which is a popular one.

PBR is hipster beer.

If you want to go esoteric or "i was into it before it was popular", you have to go with Ballast Point's Sculpin or Russian River's Pliny the Elder/Younger.  Both are getting super popular right now. It's not a bad thing...both beers are excellent and if it's getting popular it means it's becoming more widely available.  Which is nice because both are expensive.  I had a pint of sculpin at the bar the other day and it was $10. Ridiculous.

Never heard of 541 or Hop Valley for that matter.  Not a big fan of American Lagers but I'll see if my local boutique liquor store has it.

I don't drink stout very often but when you find a good one it can be sublime.

I tried and really like Angry Orchard apple cider. My local bar has that on tap and it is what I will be drinking instead of beer for now on.

I am pretty afraid of developing a beer belly. So I tend to avoid beer and go for sangria and mixed drinks. Can you develop a beer belly from Apple cider?

Yes it's full of sugar and can be terrible for giving you acid reflux/indigestion.

avoid the beer belly, gain the alcoholic stupor.

How to avoid a beer belly - don't drink a shit ton of beer all the time, and stay active. Kind of common sense.

What are the attributes of a "craft beer"? I ordered one at a restaurant and it tasted like a normal beer but in a fancy glass and $3 more.

Loaded full of everything other than the basic ingediants basically.  Kind of like an ice cream sundae...a macro is vanilla and chocolate sauce...a craft would be like vanilla and pecan ice cream with pumpkin carmel sauce with toasted kale.

Wiki sez:
The Brewers Association defines American craft brewers as "small, independent and traditional": "small" is defined as an "annual production of 6 million barrels of beer or less"; "independent" is defined as at least 75% owned or controlled by a craft brewer; and "traditional" is defined as brewing in which at least 50% of the beer's volume consists of "traditional or innovative" ingredients. This definition includes older microbreweries, which traditionally produce small quantities of beer, as well as other breweries of various sizes and specialties.
