Be an interesting precedent if Zimmerman walks. You would legally able to kill anyone. First make sure your target doesn't have a gun, start a fight and defend yourself, BOOM HEADSHOT!

The guy getting his ass kicked would be the one yelling for help.

Pics said to me that Zimmerman got his ass kicked.

He was shadowing Trayvon while waiting for police to arrive.  He had no intent to injure, kill, harass or intimidate.  If he had those intentions he would have verbally or physically gotten Trayvon's attention.  Trayvon responded to his presence.

Next.
Right, because Trayvon magically knew that George was only following him while waiting for police to arrive. It's sure a good thing he put a stop to illicit Skittles trafficking.
I love how no one has said/asked/commented/stopped to think about what if.

What if Trayvon had simply turned around and politely asked why the hell he was being followed.  I'd put every dollar I have on a situation where an amicable discussion might have been had and we wouldn't know who the hell either of these people are.

Reaction through rash emotion is what makes these situations occur.

apparently trayvon did stop and ask him why a "creepy white guy" was following him. zimmerman's 911 phone call acknowledges that trayvon stops and sees he is watching him, talking on the phone. 2 witnesses came forward with the "white guy" line. all the court wanted to focus on was if trayvon's remarks were racist. gg american justice.

well done doing what? regardless if he's innocent or not.

he (POSSIBLY) got his ass beat by a 17 year old and only "won" after shooting him
he clearly sucks at being a cop if he's in his late 20's and is only doing ride-a-longs
following a "suspicious" person and calling the cops? Sure, good job to the wannabe.

I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's the type that lives in his parents basement and collects star trek weapons and has aspirations of being a cop because he watched too many movies and wants to be a hero.

Hopefully a little prison rape sets him straight. He's got prison queen written all over him.

What tears? You think I honestly care? No. What I don't understand is why you think he's a hero. What heroic act did he perform? He was a loser wannabe that wanted to play at being a cop, picked a fight that he lost, and then pulled out a gun and shot an unarmed kid. What's heroic about that? The guy is a loser that makes all gun owners look bad. Small penis Napoleon complexed asshole that only feels like a real man when he can pull out a gun to settle an argument. Do you have any idea how little I respect people like that? People who want to play the bully and can only do so with a weapon in hand because they lack the physical and mental tools to pull it off without one. Do you know how pathetic that is? The guy is as heroic as a rapist who jumps small women, or a grown man that beats on kids in the playground. There's that much of a disparity between someone with a gun and someone without, and that little reason to cheer someone when they use one.

yeah I dunno what that's about. who do you think is going to be crying aside from trayvons mom and dad? do you think anybody else cares? anyway it's not like zimmerman is gonna walk away a hero and have a normal life again. if he walks (which it looks like he might), he's gonna be fucked for life. His own lawyers threw him under the bus in order to keep him out of jail (see my post a few pages ago). I'm not giving that guy a job if he asks me for one (not that I have one to give anyway), and it's not because I personally think he's guilty (I have no idea if he is or isn't) its because of his lawyers and how he's acted through the whole ordeal.

good luck either way zimmerman, you're gonna need it.

extra you have too much of a personal delight and stake in this. you keep accusing everyone of being emotionally manipulated by the trayvon media parade, but the only person emotionally charged in this outcome is you. all of my critiques have been about how dumb the state-of-affairs are with gun carrying, and of the law in florida as it is implemented. a person that goes into an altercation with a gun is reasonably going to wave it around, and possibly even discharge it. zimmerman did that. now he's maybe walking. my judicial inclination would be to punish him for instigating the fight in the first place. he was advised not to follow. yes, he broke no law. but that's all i'm disagreeing with: legal precedent. not emotionally involved. not saying 'i don't like the outcome in my opinion so you should change the law'. i am just doing a legal comparison to how we'd see it over here, objectively, in the eyes of the law.

It isn't illegal to stalk someone unless they have a restraining order against you.  I can follow anyone I damn well please down the street until they get a court order telling me not too.

I guess Trayvon should have magically known that a potentially armed man stalking him had no intent to kill, even if he did end up killing.

Good luck with stalking anyone you want, Meds. Maybe you can be the next Zimmerman.
He said that because he wants to shoot a black person and get away with it.

I would say a majority of gun owners in America fantasize about shooting someone legally like some John Wayne cowboy.

As a resident he had just as much right to be there as Martin did. And apparently he didn't start the fight.
