The trainer is a Maori and said this was in the office in New Zealand, so I'm guessing he's old mates with Dilbert.

i don't think dilbert's mom or dad would let him go out to play with natives. they are genetically predisposed to violence.
Out of base this week in Dusseldorf-Weeze.
So fucking cold. Germany looks like such a shithole this time of year.

The prices are cheaper as they sell direct.

I'd say that's it! Even if it wasn't id just think it was anyway!
I thought it was locked in, there's a second interview tomorrow.
Company A matched Company B's offer sheet so I'll still be working in Manhattan for a good while! Yay 30 minute commute!

I got an interview for the BioTech company where my uncle works, if I get it I would be processing animal blood samples by labeling them and entering data into a computer. Pays $14 an hour and I think it has benefits too. Only issue is it's the night shift so it's from 11 PM to 7 AM every weeknight and then 11 to 3 every other Saturday night at $17 an hour. I already go to bed at 2 or 3 usually so my mom thinks I'm perfect for it and I don't really have anything else coming my way at the moment.
What can I do to get more acclimated to the night shift though?

start drinking the blood and avoid garlic
you'll prolly get acclimated fairly quick
a spray tan once a while wouldn't go a miss tho

You're kind of missing me on the spray tan part unless you mean never seeing daylight
yeh that's what i mean
I've done graveyard shift before, you get used to it but it's a drag at the same time.
The bitch of it is that I applied for the daytime position doing the same thing back in February but my uncle tells me the night-timers at that time decided to transfer to the newly available daytime shifts. I guess on the bright side, that also means eventually I could get that too if a spot ever frees up.
Apparently I completely aced my second interview. "Very impressed" was the comment. Start next Monday as Outbound Wine Advisor. Keen as!!
i'm jealous. call me when Inbound Wine Advisor opens up, i'll move to aus, and totally break my promise to a certain verbose forum member
oh, he's logged in right now - make that a PM so he doesn't get too upset . . .
applied to work for the Canadian Nuclear Safety Comission - who knows how likely it is I'll get in but it'd be nice not to work at a restaurant again. Also probably going to be a study hall supervisor (ie get paid to study and tell kids to shut up)
