It may not be intuitive but once you learn it it's far quicker
I find I can get around a Windows 8 PC quicker than a Windows 7 one.

This shit is delightful. Major technique upgrade since Spring last year when I heard you last. Only one true mistake I've heard in the entire mix so far.aynrandroolz wrote:

Yes, and it's still as good as I've said in the past. Can't blame it for trying to throw people off the dev release.aynrandroolz wrote:
thought you were singing the praises of windows 8 left, right, and center?
when it comes to OS's, if it ain't broke, i never fix it.Hi, I work at a computer shop so it was very beneficial to know my way around windows 8 so I canKEN-JENNINGS wrote:

so no, it wasn't just to be 1337. You're a twat. It's not pretty bad. If you're on the desktop with one of the many many apps for a start button (both free and paid), then for all intents and purposes it's Windows 7. It's only when you hit that windows key and go to the metro screen where ANYTHING changes. Aside from that, it's exactly the same OS.Trotskygrad wrote:

well for macs the OS improvements are marginal at best, for windows it's sometimes sort of important, 7 was a lot better than that PoS that was vista.Yeah I forgot about it_j5689_ wrote:

If you like 8 enough, just get the $40 upgrade(assuming it's available in equivalent currency in your country) while you still can for the rest of January.
I don't need to, I got a key from work. Someone bought a new Windows 8 Laptop, hated Windows 8, wanted me to put Windows 7 back on for him. I asked him if I could use his key. He said yes. Free key for me.

Just got a LinkedIn message from some recruiter in Utah asking if I would be interested in an IT position in VA or DC. He then proceeded to list off about 8 programs/services for which I have no experience and concluded by saying I would be a solid candidate for the position.
