NZ Gold for Bond and Murray in the Mens Coxles Pairs.
NZ Gold for Drysdale in the Men's Single Sculls.

A pretty good start to Olympics day seven for New Zealand, putting us tenth on the medal tally despite only five medals in total.

Mahe Drysdale, the Gladiator, was the only person who I really really wanted to get gold after his rotten luck in Beijing. Well deserved.

Also Australia will have to deal with the knowledge that at these games, for a little while at least, New Zealand was seven places ahead of them in the standings, (though certainly not the medal count.)
