Everyones favourite Korea needs to stop winning every single weighlifting class.
Their biggest perk seems to be the fact that they're all short. 62kg winner was like 1.50 or something
My PT was telling me about a 50kg Thai girl who is 17, clean pressing 91kg. She came second in her heat, lol. That's impressive. Especially since I as a male can't do that
They're strong, no question, but the downside to the weightclasses in lifting is, is that a whole lot of it comes down to height as well. A short person has more room for muscle mass before they reach the limit of their class. That's why all the lifters in the sub 70-80kg classes are so damn short.
Every time i see one of these lifter i think to myself: 'They look twice my size, yet they weigh 25lbs less... Thats odd.' Then you see that they're also a good 20cm shorter than I am, and then it all makes sense again.
I don't like the limitless class either because it often feels like a race. Who can bulk the hardest before the olympics? The limit seems to add an extra challenge.
I'm most interested in the 69kg class and above. That's where the lifts become most impressive imo and the game the most interesting.
