I have 40 veteran swedish mercenary musketmen (e: on my non-cheat playthrough). Expensive as shit, but they're badass when properly equipped and managed in-battle. Two alternated left-right-center volleys = dead and dismayed enemy force, and god help the cavalry that get close enough to engage in melee.
"Captain coop" mode with a CSS-type economy. About six people were on with a good balance of marksmen and cavalry. Only one guy was using infantry (with good reason...waves have too many gunners), but he kept them in reserve inside buildings. Besides camping my own marksmen by a windmill with some other guy's, my only involvement in combat was a few opening volleys from horseback, the occasional lancing of stragglers and mop-up work. Everything else was hanging on the edge of the fighting, because when players start to go down, a prisoner cart appears. Crack it open and you free them (and respawn their guys if they have the cash). Had to do it once every round, and our own second wave demolished everything...but veteran wave six.
Which I have never beaten.
Which is probably due to the fact that peple start leaving around there.
(e: damn gal tags not working with steam)
Your guy looks like a faggot.

Play the game and you'd know that faction armor for PVP/PVE modes are set in stone by tier.

Still doesn't change the fact that he looks like a faggot though.
Your guy still looks like a faggot.
The leopard skin is over the top. He probably thinks it makes him look like a great huntsman.
He probably thinks it makes him look like he's DTF with other dudes.
If that's your preferred mental image, well...I'm not bigoted.
Second serious game. Finished the reconquista two centuries early. Time to spread my dynasty. Already made sure Scotland is is ran by Spanish kings.
They need to buff Mongols. Just a thought.

@gs
You have to control enough of an area to claim the crown of Aragon. Look at the De jure kingdom tab and then look at the king of Aragon title to see how much you need to hold. I think it is 50%

Beat the WH40K: Spacemarine campaign today. Predictably short, but SO MUCH FUN!! I really liked that it wasn't some dumbed down shooter and actually incorporated some of the lore of the series and past games, races, character names, factions, locations etc. Pretty dang sweet, and adrenaline pumping, wooo. Definitely a good, cheap tear 'em up campaign with a good, little survival mode co-op, mp add-on. For the current price of 30 bucks I highly recommend it.

The campaign is interesting with a proper 40K ending, but I haven't touched it since. The real meat's in the multiplayer modes. For all the game's faults and glitches, they're still fun.
Yeah I put a few rounds into Exterminatus mode with my buddies which was super fun. Gonna try to get a versus game going with the new dreadnought assault mode. Should be cool.

EDI: Really, Commander?
Still funny.
Don't ride too much on dreadnought assault. Last I looked the things were ludicrous. I didn't even bother to grab the pack at all.Blade4509 wrote:

It's a fun game. It, along with other Paradox games, have a bit of a learning curve (CK2's not that bad though), so rather than shelling out $40 for a game you might not be able to get into or enjoy, I suggest you acquire the game from someplace other than Steam and give it a test ride.

Hmm, would you recommend it above, say, Shogun 2 or Civ V? Definitely looks interesting.Macbeth wrote:

Make X-meds a full member, for the sake of 15 year old anal gangbang porn watchers everywhere!
Paradox titles are deeper than Civ and Total war games. Much more complex games. Paradox tends to put out a bunch of expansion packs for their games which just add to the complexity of it. If you like a challenge then go for it.
It also differs from the two in how it's played. Shogun is turned based. Civ is RTS? This is RTS-Pause. So at anytime you can pause it and make decisions and plan and do other things in the game before starting the action back up. It has variable speed so you can go as fast or as slow as you want.
It's more like Civ in how combat works. You won't be top down controlling armies like Shogun instead you will have army makers represent large armies. You can control those but you can not witness the action close up or micromanage the battle.
CK2 is also different from Shogun and Civ since this is more RPG like. You aren't playing a country, you are playing a character. Be it a king, a count, a princess, queen, a duke etc. What you are allowed to do in the government and in the wider world is determined by what role you choose to play. After your character dies you play another member of your dynasty. If you ever played some of the Romance of the Three kingdoms games, like 7 and 9, you will be familiar with it.
