Tom Baker was my favorite Doctor. Daleks scared me as a little kid.

Doctor Who Series 3 - 9/10
I know I've come in way late on these, but they're doing a spectacular job of interweaving these episodes. I can never expect a problem to simply be wrapped up nice and tight, and they do a good job of not writing themselves into time travel corners. I might have to reassess my previous two ratings on series 1 and 2 by the time I'm through 6. Loved this show as a little kid in the early 80's, and the new series does it much credit.
Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey!

Doctor Who Series 4 - 9/10
Depressing ending for a depressed character. Lots of interesting stuff throughout the entire series. So, what next? I popped in the first Series 5 disc...and suddenly Matt Smith.
A couple minutes on Google later, and I find out there was all sorts of stuff between the last episode of Series 4 and the first episode of Series 5. Wiki says he regenerated in an episode called End of Time (or something like that). I look that up on Amazon, and see a twenty dollar DVD. Into the cart it goes, but hang on...
I remember seeing a box at Best Buy that had a BUNCH of episodes in it including one called End of Time (or something like that). So I look THAT up and find four 'stories' in it as well as End of Time (or something like that). Forty bucks, about as much as an entire season.
Is there any way they could've mentioned them a bit more obviously? Also, I appreciate a mystery, but not being gouged for something that should've been in either the Series 4 or 5 boxes.
I suppose I'll have to fill my evenings with (sigh) Skyrim while I wait for April 5th.

Coming up to finishing the wire, just started season 5. I'm gonna need a new series that I can watch everynight before bed, so game of thrones is out of the question because it's only on once a week. Oh and the last 3 shows I've watched have been crime based so something new would be good. I'm thinking lost, is it worth commiting to?
Weeds: 2/10
Terrible show, impossible to understand how it won Emmys. Acting and writing are subpar and the premise is moronic and implausible.

no, no, no.jord wrote:

If you haven't already and don't mind sci-fi, the newer Doctor Who seasons aren't bad at all if you want to rent or buy. Beats having to piecemeal it out of a patchwork of missing classic series episodes.jord wrote:
