FU, I've had it for a few years now, not had a problem. Might consider a headphone amp next time, who knows. Still, it's quality for my 320kbs mp3s!

lol i just mean it was the sorta thing you'd list in a rig spec maybe in bf2 era... with all that SUPER ULTRA X-FI SOUND stuff. now after like vista and windows 7 those creative cards are more of a pain in the ass than anything else. i ended up removing mine and throwing it away because all it was good for was creating mega driver problems and fucking shit up. also the sound quality is a very minimal difference.

i actually got it because it has a thru so i can simultaneously play analogue vinyl records with computer-sourced digital files, or at least have it neatly set-up with my monitors to be playing through one interface with one set of audio cables.
in which case a sound-card of that level is definitely required.
