A new site like TheHumbleBundle, only it's not charity and they plan to release new bundles every 2 weeks
www.indieroyale.com

The Launch Bundle:
1.    A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda available on: windows, desura, steam
2.    Gemini Rue available on: windows, desura, steam
3.    Sanctum available on: steam (This includes the Violator, Penetrator & Killing Floor DLC for the game)
4.    Nimbus available on: windows, desura, steam

Currently for around €3
Pricing works a little funny, the more people that buy at the minimum price, the more expensive the games get, when someone buys for higher, the price drops, it's pretty stable around €3 today...

OFFER ENDED - Keep an eye out for the future ones...

They should have just followed the same formula as Humble Bundle.

Without all the good will of choosing your own price and donating to charity, it made far less money and might as well just be a regular Steam sale.

I'm sorry, why are you complaining that you can get €40 worth of games for €3?

I'm not complaining. I'm just saying it could have been much more successful. The reason they did it like this is because it's run by Desura.

Royales games look more interesting and it still only made a fraction of Humbles profits.

I think the main reason they didn't sell as well as HumbleBundle is that they haven't gone Viral like Humble did...

Humble Bundle's charity may be another factor that it has become so popular.
Combined with the fact that you can deliberately decide who gets the money.

I tend to always donate 90% towards the Child's Play charity and the remaining 10% for the developer, EFF and Humble tip.
Gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling when you know you can help someone.

The 1st HumbleBundle sold ~116,000 bundles in 7 days
The IndieRoyale launch bundle sold 37,558 bundles in 5 days

Just posting some statistics... Though charity is nice and all, I'm not complaining at the great offer IndieRoyale run, and hopefully they have success with these 4 first bundles so we get more bundles on a regular basis compared to the more rare HumbleBundles...

i've bought the humble indie bundle several times because it supports indie game devs and charities at the same time.  i haven't played half of the games i've bought.

Instead of buying the same bundle several times, why not just pay more and buy it once?
