It's not like they need a reason most of the time.

And if there is a reason then nothing usually happens.

It's the way of BF2s.

ghostinvisiblex7 (aka specialistx2324)  .... perm for flaming a mod on the forums, and a member via PM
mtb0minime ... 3 days for flaming via karma

It is him with 100% certainty ... we use more than IP to identify returning members ... I'm from Washington DC, remember, the home of the CIA, NSA, DSA, etc.

ok.

this is what i think, and you have invited commentary, so - flaming a mod should be like flaming a member.

mods are members. they already can ninja edit, ban, and make judgement calls about what rule has/hasn't been broken, right?

so why should it be that a member flames a member, get one punishment, and a member flames a mod they get a different one?

the way i see it, mods can take care of themselves, members can't.

Did you create a GUI in visual basic to track his dynamic IP?

I'm not going to perm ban just any member for flaming a mod.

specialist had already received temp bans for abuse - which puts him on thin ice.  And, as I went through Karma and deleted a half dozen flame posts, it crossed the line.

Plus, flaming a mod in a thread specifically about NOT flaming the mods is ... well ...
