Portal 2 was much more of a puzzle game than Portal 1. In Portal 1, most of the "puzzles" were really just platforming but with the portal gun to build momentum. In 2, while that did happen it was much more difficult to figure out how you are supposed to go about said platforming, especially in co-op.

This is what I thought but a lot of 'negatives' brought up about Portal 2 seem to be about it not being hard enough and having too much story or something? I dont know, I found neither game difficult at all so was surprised to see difficulty used as a negative towards Portal 2 which was, if anything, slightly harder than Portal 1.

To me a game as well made as Portal 2 is rare enough I would happily pay $100 for it. Length is relatively irrelevant to me, and it isnt like games or gaming in general is an expensive endeavour.

For me, Portal 2 was not more of a puzzle game than Portal 1. I only got stumped twice, and not for long.

It seems to me that Portal 2 had a lot more non-portalable surfaces, making the ones you could (and were supposed to) portal onto something that captain obvious would be happy to point out.

Ah, the portalable surfaces thing makes more sense. Generally I agree on that, I can see how in some cases the gels really just replaced being able to put portals in more places.
