I haven't play BC2 in over a year. I forgot about those rifles, which I agree with you Rukus, can totally be used as DMRs. But not for the factions that wouldn't use 'em. I'd like to see unique weapons for each team like good old Call of Duty 2 and last in the BF series BF2142.

You can use all the BC2 sniper rifles in close range if you put the red dot or ay-sea-oh-gee scope on it. I wish more games let you do that, bolt action rifles are really fun but I hate camping, so I'm happy when I can use them without a ridiculous zoom.

As already mentioned there were a few in BFBC2, also SVD is a more a DMR than anything else and from what we have seen of BF3 the M-110 is a stock recon weapon.

I like how on the PS3 Bad Company doesn't show kills-deaths on the player screen but just score. It's a great way of telling who is carrying their weight or not on a rush map.

Jihad Jeep is fine. The death tracker doesn't really discourage it, so I don't think its presence much influences snipers one way or another. Campers gonna camp.

I need some clarifying here. My definition of Jihad Jeeping is attaching explosives to a vehicle, driving it to an enemy, bailing at the last moment to then safely detonate the explosives and eliminate my opponent.

Is the correct one the act of ramming your vehicle so that it explodes along with the explosives?

I think snipers get a bad rep. I play a lot of recon in BC2, but I'm always pretty much top of my team because I get as near as I can to the enemy base, kill people in gun placements, clear the area while my squad spawn on me, then run in with my pistol, which is surprisingly effective. I get a lot of objective based points and a shit load of kills.

I'm not bothered about my KDR, but it is usually quite high.

I also happily switch to other classes when they are needed.

i too think a game mode where one person can kill every mcom with an AT4 in 2 minutes is fun for the other 31 players.

Even when you do bail out, you're still at a high risk of getting killed. Unless you're really good with it, the best you're going to get is a 2-3:1 ratio.
