oh yeah that was the part.
I actually crouched at the exact same spot as that guy did, cowering in fear

yup. Clean HUD also ads to the realism. Would feel a lot less like i was there if there would be a health bar and ammo counter in the corner of my eyes.Sisco wrote:
The mechanics are so simple: no means of active combat or defense, not being able to look at the baddies, light being helpful and hindering. Yet the impact on the gameplay and atmosphere is so strong, it amazes me.

About to give Champs Online a shot.
I was working on a semi-serious character when the game crashed while alt-tabbing. It wouldn't be hard to recreate, but I didn't feel like it. Instead, I built some WH40K chaos-inspired sort of thingy.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Similar to so many other games like this, I'm having a blast in the character creator. It was worth the download just for that, if it turns out I can't stand the gameplay.

Yeh I didnt play it when it was a 'proper' game but picked it up when it went f2p and have been enjoying it quite a bit. Also, havent had to spend a cent.

Think I finalized this guy, at least. Two tonfa and a bow (for looks, until I can change weapons) and a long axe to start with. Going to use him for melee and the corrupted 'sister of battle' for ranged. I'm liking the gameplay so far and have seen an insane amount of design variety, at least in the tutorial zone. Could be the influx of new players, though.
e: BLAH. 4'11" my ass. Legs pumped him up about a foot. Haven't progressed very far in the tutorial yet, so I'll probably just recreate rather than waste resources on a revamp.

Hope he likes it...
The variety of characters you see running/flying/swinging/teleporting around is easily the strongest part of the game. I quite enjoyed levelling to 40 whenever it came out (naturally there was nothing really to do after that, like any new MMO in the last 5 years).unnamednewbie13 wrote:
