I heard the stream was running in the LoL launcher, which inflated the numbers to everyone watching and playing.
It doesn't auto-play. The client thing is just an embedded video from own3d, and you can't play and watch at the same time. Also the EU servers have been down all of today and the viewer numbers have gone up from yesterday.
People are saying it's HoN players starting rumours as they're sad they're playing a dieing game
Was up to 190k a few minutes ago, now down to 170. Not really hard to believe. The qualifiers had 60k and that wasn't linked anywhere. The pros stream 24/7 and they have consistently have 4-5k round the clock. Free 2 play games just attract huge numbers. Riot said that yesterday they had 1 million unique viewers which is insane.

Yeah not entirely sure. RIOT will give everyone 1 free transfer so people don't get seperated from friends. Judging by the forums the Eastern server is basically going to be left with just Russians. While hilarious it does mean the western server is going to be overloaded still.
Im finally going to try and get this game to run on my macbook.
They wanted to makea proper running client for mac last year, but they sort of stopped (they still want to though), but thebeta for that cleint still exists and can still be used to play the game (EU and US) on mac.

the beta that they used to test LoL on mac with is still available even though the plans to go through with that one have been cancelled.h4hagen wrote:
