I love my droid but it's music player is a disappoint. i really miss my iphone's music player on the iphone because i could sort the music like in itunes and do the genius.
I usually end up listening to streams via my xiialive widget or the Slacker radio widget.
What is the best mp3 player app ?

Anyone know the way to get rid of the new voicemail notification without actually calling voicemail? Mine isn't included in my plan and I don't really want to have to waste money.
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
menu > settings > call > clear voicemail notification

Google voice will save you some money. Voicemails are sent as downloadable mp3's so there is no airtime used.presidentsheep wrote:

Just an fyi. If you manually hide yourself on facebook some facebook chat apps might not show any of your friends online (even if you set yourself as available within the app). I went on facebook on my laptop and set myself to online and it fixed it all. This was the case with numerous apps. So I think it was a facebook permission thing.coolstorybro wrote:

Just remember not to hide yourself on the faceook page if you want to use a an app for Facebook chat at any time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to set a ringtone for SMS' coming in from a certain email domain?
At work we have txt messages sent to us from a message program but the first part of the address is always random,
ie: [email protected] or sometimes: [email protected]
I've tried making a contact: *[email protected] and *@biz.com but neither work when assigned their own ringer.
I want to have any messages that come in from that domain have their own ringer.
- HTC EVO running 2.3 -

man my phone is running so much smoother with this update
I tried to do it on my phone signa, i can't.
My phone has been acting weird since the update. I was listening to music on it on the way to work and it just completely shut off. I had to take the battery out and put it back in for it to come on. I didn't have any fc's today though.

Samsung shows affection to CyanogenMod, gives its devs a free Galaxy S II http://engt.co/kcgYka
Let's see if we're grokking this: Samsung is not only telling the dev community it's okay to place custom ROMs on its flagship device, it's actually encouraging the practice by handing out free phones? Atinm, the developer responsible for prepping CyanogenMod on the Captivate and Vibrant, took to Twitter to praise the manufacturer for sending him a free Galaxy S II. From the looks of it, Samsung sent the phone to a select number of devs intent on building an official release of CM7 for the GSII. Unlocking bootloaders has already become the new fancy with manufacturers like HTC, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson jumping on the bandwagon, but this is the first time we've heard of a company doling out free devices to the custom ROM community. Does this mean that, instead of enforcing TouchWiz with an iron fist, Samsung is looking at how this practice could actually benefit consumers? We doubt this will be the case for all of the company's future Android phones, but wouldn't you love to live in a world where it was?

I'd have to say it certainly better than the stock dialer. I haven't tried every other dialer in the market though. Just about a half dozen ..lol.signa wrote:

which I think IS the stock one. XD

everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
That is not the stock dialer. At least not on gingerbread. This is
+ if it were different we can't all install cyanogen .. in fact, I can't even root since getting the ota gingerbread update. Hopefully that will change soon
It's nice to be able to group beyond favorites. That's handy if you want to be able to sms or email a group of people. It's also really good at merging duplicates.
It is skinable as well. .. if thats your thing.
