The Total Wars arent turn based? At least the fighting isnt. The whole empire building thing is done with turns but the actual battles are real time.
After 1000+ hours in the total war series I can definitely say- never use auto resolve.ebug9 wrote:

*Auto-Resolve*
You killed 100 people
Enemy killed 700 people
That's generally how auto-resolve ends up working for me.
I generally play the battles in real time anyway. Although when I'm short for time or I cba controlling what I think will be an easy battle (when I have experienced general and troops) I click auto-resolve and it very rarely comes out in my favour.DesertFox- wrote:
Perhaps you should actually play a few battles on your own so you get some of your troops some experience, ebug. That way, they're not complete idiots and have slightly better statistics. Works wonders if you have a general who gains traits, too.
I would ask what the point of playing is if you are just auto resolving the only game part. At that point you might as well play one of those excruciating Patrician or whatever games.AussieReaper wrote:

I agree. But there are some people who do that. Retards.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

Played through the tutorial so far. It's kinda fun doing stuff like making planets collide.RTHKI wrote:

Anyone else grabbed Universe Sandbox?
That´s what I thought and I almost bought it. But I´m not that into the physics of space and after you condensed a whole galaxy in a giant black hole there isn´t much more to do for the average gamer, is there?unnamednewbie13 wrote:
