I never understand the media's fascination by seemingly 'normal' events and turn them into national round-the-clock news. Like this chick that went missing and was found murdered, this shit happens all the time. Yet the media (all of them) pick up on this story, for no apparent reason, and run it endless. There must be something going on, I'm not quite sure what the fascination over this specific event is...it's almost disturbing.

I think they just get bored when nothing happens and collaborate to blow up what would be a local story into months long national news order to keep sales and interest running. But then why do the BBC get involved in that bandwagon?
