Yeah some proffs have some OP gear, but they're often quite expensive and a lot of people don't want to grind for it.

then with the pew-pew gear aoe grinded the 5k gold for epic flying... and then was like server 4th for netherdrake...
suffice to say that character didn't actually get any better gear for like 2 months

I had a 2H epic mace from BSing on my warrior. Had that thing for a looooooong time. twas better than some of the lesser PvP/PvE epics

yeah... my point was i had everything i wanted and everything i had to 'work' for in a week. that was tbc launch. that was when i realised the game was getting dumbed down...

I didn't really like the whole setting around tbc, but all the things they added were great. wotlk had the opposite effect. i loved the new continent, monsters and towns, but all the extra shit they added just made it too much. But i don't blame blizzard. You cant just make an expansion and say: We're removing this and that! The will keep adding stuff until no one plays it.
I'm glad i quit before cataclysm, so i don't feel like I'm missing out on something, but i do miss the old WoW.
