Did not like last years but I love the demo for this one.
Apparently the 70 dollar version has 5 more courses. Plus if you pre order from gamestop you get an additional course. Not sure if the courses are any good however.
I play 2011 all the time with my friend. We've been waiting for this, should be fun.
Actually my stats have been dropping continuously cause we keep playing drunk so I'm waiting for this to come out so I can start over.
Don't know about the new shooting style. Focus?

the putting is still hard as hell
That was always my strong suit for some reason. With the paid clubs/balls/clothes/whatever I can usually keep it at 12. My short game hovers somewhere close to about 7 sadly.
I always max out putting XP whenever I can. This year is interesting with the caddie reads.
Well 2011 was different. You couldn't just continuously add XP to a certain area. Your level in each area just got better if you did well and vice versa. So if you had a shitty 18 then your level (depending on what you did shittily in - i.e. driving, short game, putting, etc.) would drop and it would be slightly harder the next time you played. If you did well, your stats would rise and the next round you could hit slightly farther, had a slightly smaller standard deviation for each club, etc.
Yep been looking forward to this for a while now, mainly because of the addition of the Augusta course, that will just be epic to play. 11b how come you bash RL golf but play golf games lol?
I know fucking karate
cuz its fun to play the game. kind of like baseball and basketball tbh. cant really watch a game but the video games are fun.justice wrote:

Wasn't particularly impressed with the gameplay. The caddy addition is cool, but can get quite annoying. Not much has changed in my opinion. They need an entirely new formula.

"Happy Gilmore's Combat Golf"
am I right in believing you can't view where your ball is going to land now and decide on the best club + shot style? You just have to trust what the caddy says. Either that or play close attention to the fly-over and hope for the best?
no..you can switch to custom and move the aim markerpirana6 wrote:

holy hell this game is awesome.
I've been looking for a golf game for my lappy. I wonder how it will run on it.
Xbone Stormsurgezz
i doubt it but i have no idea
so I ask the caddie, he says hit 98 percent in a straight line and it'll end up in the fairway...
I hit 98 percent in a straight line and it goes way left or right into the rough...
I ask him about some chip shot onto the green and I do what he says and it goes way short into the bunker...
this game confooses me. Maybe i just need to to get better but in past games if you did what it asked it went roughly where you wanted it.

you dont have to ask the caddie...its an option
right well even when i do it shows the ball ending up in the fairway or when I do the custom i place the marker right in the middle of the fairway and still it goes left or right with a straight swing.
How has no one got a pun in this thread yet. Let down.
well dunno mate. my dude is spot on.pirana6 wrote:

Take into account the wind, if any?pirana6 wrote:

First time I've bought a golf game for the console, and I must say I am really enjoying it. Still trying to get the feel of the swing, ie trying to swing at a certain power, and my putting isn't all that good. But I did make a 30 footer the other day lol
Naw i've got better now. I'm not sure I guess I was just confused with the caddy and his recommendations. I wish there was an option to delete him altogether. There's something satisfying about doing everything yourself without first having him give suggestions.TravisC555 wrote:

And yeah putting is WAY WAY WAY less forgiving than before. I hit a 7 under the other day on Royal Melbourne and I was elated. A couple of 3 puts though.
Wouldn't mind a golf game if it actually came with a club, photo-realistic graphics and a giant tv screen.
