So true. DKs suck.
you could pretty much do the same image for any class nowadays, though. it's hardly as if rogue is the last preserve of the old style of play.
every class is dumbshit now

I think the fact that every WoW subscriber can easliy have 4/5/6+ level 85's on their account says it all, you don't have to be good at your class anymore. You just have to be good at button mashing.Uzique wrote:

and sinking enough time into said task to ruin your AFK life.
honestly i can't even be bothered to waste my time/effort into the mundane achievement-tasks now... let alone on multiple toons

I did like doing some of the achievements tho, even the stupid ones, like getting the 'Titanium Seal of Dalaran' by fishing up all the coins from the Dalaran fountain. Fishing my way to Mr Pinchy's Magical Crawdad Box (2 days you wankers!). Quite enjoyed doing 'Well Read', which was interesting as i'm Steamwheedle Cartel hated due to having the coolest title in game; Bloodsail Admiral Audyssey . Getting the books in Booty Bay was a proper effort!
pointless waste of time and effort

Yeah of course it was, it all was, it was something to do at the time.
at least the oldschool pve raiding progression and pvp rank grind had some achievement and prestige
what have you achieved by pointlessly rambling around, reading books? other than an efficient way to lose a day or two of your life

no debate is neccessary btw.
PVE and PVP progression is still very much alive in the game.
You got heroic mode raids for the 5% people who want to play for a challenge. And for the rest of the morons who play the game they get to run 5 man dungeons and kill the first 3 boss's in 10 man trade chat pick up groups.
The "hardcores" get to see all the content while your general run of the mill noob fails at even the simplest mechanics.
The same can be said about PVP.
Your general noob plays 12 games in 2v2 arena to get their 5 wins with different teammates every week and never gets about 1400 rating. By the end of the arena season they are half decked out in the top pvp gear yet they probably have no idea how to play their character correctly.
While the people at the top of the pvp food chain have probably been playing the game for years. Know the inside and out of not only their class but pretty much how every class in the game works and by the end of the pvp season are decked out in all the best pvp gear. And with that you can easily 1v2 people in absolute terrible gear.
During Wotlk I 1v3'd a bunch of bad kids as a disc priest (healer) in not even the best pvp gear in the game. Sure it took me 8 mins to kill the three of them, but they couldnt do enough damage to kill me and weren't co-ordinated enough to interrupt my heals.

Also I'm working on the achievement Higher Learning, get a cool arcane elemental pet. Gonna work on getting the time lost proto drake as well.

I tend to disagree with 'the Insane', that did little but prove you were and are a proper no life cunt!
the coolest title in the game is grand marshal / high warlordiceman785 wrote:

nothing comes close
maybe scarab lord, which shows the pve-dedication equivalent of the other vanilla titles

If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
HWL and GM have lost their uniqueness due to the same titles being given for rated BG's now. But seeing a Scarab Lord is always awesome.
yeah that's really shit. the amount of work required then compared to now is incomparable.iceman785 wrote:

Rogue looks nice. Paladin as usual looks the best imo.
druid looks badass, too. death knight is way over-the-top. blizz designs topped out in vanilla imo
don't know if it was just because the gear was so much better, but tier2>tier3>tier2.5>tier1 gear all looked amazing
and the pvp sets, omg :>
