the kicker for me will be the stats/upgrades system.

i enjoyed the fact that in BF2 you actually had to play the game and work for advancement, unlike the instant gratification bullshit that all recent FPSes have been churning out.

Since I stopped on BF2, I've not played any PC games since....but BF3 might just drag me back. Be a bitch to waste a title like that on a console.

Its a shame that it comes out at the same(ish) time as Gears 3... that is a real shit

i mean it in terms of badges and ranks, in bf2 the timed badges and ranks were an incentive to play for longer, as opposed to the COD type systems where you can max out your rank and get all the badges ect within a few weeks.
