Yeah ASUS HD 5870 with reference cooler. I'll either change the cooler or whole card at some point. Loud and hot fucker.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yep, finished and got it working. I'll make some pics tomorrow after I do some cable management within the case. But got it all configured and my games installed. My desk is so organized and clean now that there isn't an ugly laptop there!

I just wish the case were a WEE bit bigger so that way I could do some proper cable management. I suppose if I had a small dremel tool I could get crazy and make it more manageable, but it works. Just need to get a case fan for the front so that way I can actively bring some fresh air into the case itself.

Is there no room behind the mobo plate for all those wires

Nope, unfortunately not. I tried to work the SATA cables behind the mobo and have it coming out through one of the two holes that is beneath it but they're just a tiny bit too tight. It's a very tight case. Lots of room for fans, though.

There are two 120mm fan mounts along the top of the case so I had to put some screws through a bit of cardboard to cover those fan holes up because it is just so loud (the case itself is pretty much open all the way around what with the 6 large fan mounts. The CPU power cables are also unable to be hidden since they're so short - those are the cables coming across the GPU. I had the HDD directly across from the GPU but moved it lower down today before I started putting zip ties on what I could. Also once I get a fan for the face of the case I'll be able to hide those wires that you see on the right side between the case frame and the front fascia.

How do you like the ASUS GTX 460? Quiet and cool?

This is relevant to my intrests.

Seems relatively quiet. I'm enjoying it, played BF2 at 8x AA with 1280xsomething resolution with all settings on high and it ran perfectly, didn't stutter or anything. I can't wait to buy a newer game and give it whirl on that, maybe wait until BF3. I haven't checked temperatures at all, but none of the ASUS utilities have thrown up an alarm, so I take that as a good sign.
