i dont know, something about the pkm with the red dot just feels so right.
I used the MG36 a little bit, it was alright. But with medic, I've found there are really two ways to go.
1) In high-activity areas with a bunch of teammates gathered and getting shot [basically, in a defensive position]: PKM (no attachments), increased medkit range, increased medkit healing rate; you will rack up the points like no other. It seems the medkit range is expanded from a 1-foot radius to a 20-foot radius.
2) When moving with a squad, taking on the baddies: M60 w/ red-dot and heavy barrel; you only need a few short bursts to kill, and all but 1 or 2 bullets will hit your target, and that's at mid- or long-range. Up close, it's an instant-death cannon for anyone in its way.

But that's why I love the PKM. It's a great gun on its own, no need for red dots or scopes. And yes, it is slow, but you should only be firing these in short bursts anyway. I suppose with the SAW you may be able to get more bullets out there in the short burst, but with the PKM, the majority of those will hit your target. (At least from my experiences)JohnG@lt wrote:

T88 is actually decent. PKM is pretty good for long/medium range, but gets RAPED in CQC by the M249. And M60 is better than all those before. It's like the Engy unlocks. 9A91 = SCAR < XM8 <<<<<< Krinkov.

Personally, I like the feel of wood compared to polymer as well even though in a combat situation, splinters from an exploding wooden handgrip/buttstock (due to being hit) would mess you up pretty bad. To each their own.
