For some reason, most with duel core's had problems with the beta which may or may not change on the retail version. If your processor is at stock then as for the rest of your system you will prob have to play on low settings if you want half decent FPS.prototype wrote:

It would help, but until the full retail version is out and other people tell you how good or how bad there systems run with your specs. Also how dual core processors perform, i would save your money and see other peoples results.prototype wrote:

There is your answer right there, and it should run better than that with the retail copy.Scratch[USA] wrote:

BC2 is very CPU intensive, for this game, getting a decent Quad core would be a better upgrade.prototype wrote:

how much would it cost for me to buy a decent quad core processor and also how hard are they to install ?Finray wrote:

Something like this would be a good shout - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6819115207
I used a Q6600 with the BC2 Beta up until the last couple of days until I upgraded, and it ran it well. So something like what Finray has shown you would run it no probs at all, and im sure he could show you a guide to fitting one as well.Finray wrote:

i just got a email from ea telling me that i can download the bfbc2 from the ea downloader. it says it'll allow me to have the game downloaded but waiting for the activation code. i checked my ea downloader and i didn't see any bfbc2 download. i'll check later when i get home.
Yeah, I had to get the Tactile version, and I just got an E-Mail that it's being shipped.bigguyhawaii wrote:

Tis true. I was running E6600 C2D @2.4GHz 8800GTS 512MB and 2GB RAM and after the dual core "enhancement" or w/e you want to call it, it seemed to play more smoothly (I didn't get a chance to install Fraps to get exact FPS). Obviously less when in fights etc, but a very good boost compared to the older versions of the beta. Keep in mind I am talking about the beta and the graphics weren't really fully implemented then.Spark wrote:

would this make me be able to run it high settings at 1680x1050 ?Finray wrote:
