I eat well, that's the secret. I follow these 3 food groups plan. Let me explain the food groups as I see them.

1.Roughage
Anything that's not 2 & 3.

2. Lube
Wet stuff you put on roughage to make it taste good. Products such as coleslaw are lube even though it contains roughage. If a product is a mix of roughage and lube it is defined by what ever is the largest quantity of the mix. 

3. Cake.
Anything that's not 1&2 and has sugar in it. Chocolate, buns, sweets etc.


I make sure every meal contains, Roughage, lube and cake. #

I was told this thread is the best thread ever?...That said...I have just started up again at my gym.  I have two...well, three reasons for heading back.  1. Getting my pre-baby body back. 2. Well, I'm paying for it whether I like it or not until August(stupid contract) 3. I have TA and my doc told me that it should help in the long run.

So, I am currently going the the gym on tuesday and thursday to do weights and I stay home and do the Wii Fit Plus routines on M,W,F.  I will eventually switch my days and use wednesdays as a water aerobics day.  I am super excited about that, lol.  Hanging out in the gym pool with a bunch of old ladies.  Woot!

Out of all the posts in the thread, including the macho gay homo self shots, this one creeps me out the most.

Why can't people just run and swim alot if they want to lose weight and tone their body up. Although I suppose this thread is for those that want to bulk up/build muscle which is way more time consuming/annoying than just being fit and healthy.

@ Mek, i don't diet as rule with my fitness, luckily i don't have too. I run, cycle, lift weights and am generally active. I don't bulk per se but i'm looking to define my figure to a point that is satisfactory for me but i do have to bulk to a degree, which means i have to consume calories and protein. I could just do the bare minimum and have a nice body but i figured for the extra bit of effort to look FUCKING good, i might as well do it. This thread isn't just for pin heads, it should cover a broad spectrum of fitness regimes.

Have you ever considered lifting weights? A gym membership? A workout programme? I can't recommend it enough! There's a lot you can do without the expense of gym membership and weights at home, i can point you in the right direction if you want?

I actually eat well. Fresh oily fish twice a week. Red meat once a week max. Swim 60 lengths once a week. Keen Kayaker when the weather allows.
Played county and club hurling which if you know the game requires serious fitness. Too old and crabit for it these days. I'm 33 now so I have gave up on the training. Can't run up hills with 15stone man on my back anymore. Been asked to join the reserves recently which isn't so hardcore so might go back to it.

Aw fuck shit fuck fuck.

I just did something to my palmaris longus muscle, and I can't lift weights now.
For people who don't know which muscle that is, it's the one right under your radius bone... I wasn't even lifting a heavy curl bar. I think it's because I rushed it as I had to go out (I try never to miss a workout session).

So, from all of this... NEVER rush anything. I don't know when I'll be able to lift again.

Already looking forward to it, it seems like I'm making huge gains on my bench every single time, I'm up to a good 40-45lbs already!

lol!!! i remember those days... 9th grade... lol!! but i can do 185 now since i went all out my senior year! it's not much but it's good enough for now! I plan to hit the gym all this summer!

Ahh shit yes.

Got around to another jog this evening, while it was raining lightly. Managed the run the entire thing without stopping to walk up the end of either epic hill (using some breathing technique that actually worked.. **), and saw an epic sunset (I love that nature stuff). As I got back to my street, the rain started to really pound down, so that once I'd finished I could just stand out in the rain with a kind of "fuck yeah" feeling.

Feel so alive.


** - All you have to do is breathe in through your nose on steps 1,2,3, then out with your mouth on steps 4,5. It'll feel a bit weird at first because it's not an even time spent breathing in and out, but once I got into a rhythm is seemed to work.
