There definitely needs to be fixes. The control settings is horrid, and I hate the radio system. I wanna be able to request a medic instead of going to 1, pointing at him, then press q. For console I have no problem with 1 button doing all the work but I don't get it with computer which has plenty of buttons. I thought dice said the pc version would be different than console but to be honest it isn't very different. I will give feedback tomorrow on the forums.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Game is fun. Needs to be optimized though.
For beta, gotta say I'm impressed. Very little lag in the rounds I played, interesting map, good hitreg ... server browser causing ctd was the only issue I had. Just using "play now" button worked every time. So good to be back in a Battlefield title again! MW2, you are dead to me.

I tried to download the beta last night after gym and dinner which was about 9pm GMT, no chance, but not suprising either.
Örp. The lag was quite nasty. Hard to say at this point if the game's good or what.

I got a key by email, all I had to do was download the game via any mirror EA linked me to but since EA fails at pretty much everything the mirrors were down so I had to go find a torrent to finally play.AussieReaper wrote:

Didn't get a key Stupid Canadian Gamestop decided they wouldn't give them out with the pre-orders.
Force it to DX9 mode (documents\BFBC2Beta\settings.ini, change dxversion to 9) for good performance
The unlocks in this really are upgrades. Since I've gotten a bunch, and rounds actually get further than the first point now, it's a much better game. The movement and gun damage are still its worst points by far, and it won't be long until everybody realizes you can spam infinite (GL)nades as assault

The GL nades aren't that annoying anyway. They're abit better than in BC1 but they're still just glorified wall openers.
What you'll find annoying is when everyone unlocks the Mortar barrage for the Sniper class. This is what really pissed me off in the PS3 beta after it was a few weeks in and everyone had unlocked it. Truly fucking annoying. Especially since the gaming community, PC or Console, are all wannabe "3lite snip3rs" fucking fuck snipers.
Apparently they decreased the amount of shells but increased damage and damage vs vehicles. So it's still just as annoying I guess.

alright i need to face the fact that my system needs an upgrade, but im not willing to fork out hardware-£££ for THIS game...
so in the very short-term:
