Erm... I use Chrome, and would love to use Opera (which is slowly rolling in addons through unite).
>Get spied on by Google so you can be avertised to
Who wouldn't want good advertising? I'm so sick of seeing crappy ads all over - whenever there's something I actually
want to buy advertised, I feel like I've won in the ad lottery. I think this is a pro. It's not like they're trying to trick you... (unlike Twitter, apparently)
>Each tab = new process
Which means if one tab crashes, your browser doesn't have to. If you don't touch tabs over a long time, they are merged into fewer processes. Firefox is adopting this for plugins, as is IE (or have they already?). It makes sense, considering the frequency and inconvenience of browser crashes.
>Ugly as hell
It's a Google product, so it looks... well, Google-y. And the option's there. Unfortunately, Google did not (and will never be able to) hire someone like Higgs to do their design.
Few addons
Even fewer with Opera
I always get annoyed when people use this as an argument against a platform, though. Android has fewer apps than the iPhone - does that make it inferior?
Anyway, Opera still has a bit to go - once their Opera Unite and addons catch up, I'll be moving there. Or once Firefox makes their javascript engine as fast. Or once IE isn't a stone-aged piece of shit.
