A few weeks ago my HD fried so rather then reinstall xp I install windows 7 pro 64b. BF2 installed and runs fine except as squad leader I can not get UAV, supplies etc.. to work. The menu shows up but nothing happens when I click on anything.

weird, you might try setting controls to default.
and try deleting everything under the BF2 folder in My Documents.
Tried resetting controls and deleting everything under BF2. Still does not work. Commander controls work but when I switch back to squad leaders they stop working.
there's not much posted about win7x64 running bf2, but i found this. it doesn't really apply to your problem but they have a step-by-step install that might correct your issue.
