Mmm, I had my MW2 server refunded just the other day infact, I had every intention of getting it for PC, (I kind of descided to order the 360 version on an impulse). I wouldnt go near the PC version. Am not so fussed about mods personally, but if you are into that sort of thing, really sucks to be you. It is connection concerns and admin am worried about. Lagy play is not fun, and eventhough am still convinced half the alleged ''cheaters'' are just good players, VAC cant possibly be as good as a clan who fairly admin there own server(s).

Some times booting out the good players is nescesary to keep the peace.

Wondering if anywhere will take my bet of DLC week before BC2 release, dedicated servers patch $10

As you may be aware, our very own PST*Joker has made assertions on BASH that the MP AC130 and several other MW2 features were influenced (without any recognition) by him and other PC modders.

A few hours ago, I saw a Tweet go out from a community member suggesting that Joker issue a takedown notice of Infinity Ward's AC130 vid on Youtube.

"@pstjoker I just thought you should send youtube a DMCA take down notice regarding the #MW2 AC130 video. See how youtube responds." (@therealrudedog)

I think Joker took up the idea and I can only assume he's more surprised than anyone that a few minutes ago YouTube yanked IW's AC130 video right off their official channel.

I've mentioned before that MW2 has been like a marriage breakup between PC gamers and IW. Now, this has all the earmarks of a messy divorce.

By the way, I certainly don't envy Fourzerotwo in any of this -- as if he doesn't have enough on his hands. All of this seems very unfortunate all the way round.

Just a few minutes ago I spoke to PST*Joker and apparently he did make the takedown claim and YouTube did take down the original official video from their IW channel. Joker forwarded this reply from IW's community manager:

For all we know all those guys could have a ping of 140, save the host, he'd have a zero ping and the scoreboard doesn't show pings so you'd never know, but he'd be kicking your ass anyway.

Point of Existence team took legal action against a couple of other modders for stealing their work, they won too.

Unless IW made it so that 4 bars < 50 < 3 Bars < 100 < 2 bars < 200 < 1 bar < /wrists.

But considering IW considers a 100 ping "awesome" I doubt that, and the scale is most likely like the following

4 bars < 150 < 3 bars < 300 < 2 bars <500 < 1 bar.

100 Ping, c'mon dude thats really crappy. i played Bf2 on servers with 100+ ping and boy did i get killed way more than a server that had only 50 ping. Honored by Death was a server i used to play in, so is ROX and CBBF and their ping was no more than 70 on a busy day.

I'm going to be shot for this but...100 ping isn't bad. It's my threshhold though. I was just playing on a server located in Poland and getting 140 ping, the delay between hitting someone and the hit registering was really noticeable, but it was still way shorter than on Xbox. If they're going to try to get us to play at that level of lag, then they can seriously go screw themselves.

I normally play about 60-70 ping, and that seems fine. Up to 90 I notice no difference (mind you, the lowest I get is 55).

when I search, I set max at 100. Pretty much anything below is acceptable and anything above is pushing it.
