Lol.  Mike Scioscia is regarded as one of the best managers in the league buddy.  Certainly Joe Girardi's decision-making has been poor, but Scioscia's big mistake was taking out John Lackey.

Do you even follow baseball, or do you just jump in to spout anti-Yankee/[b]Pro Red Sox nonsense?[/b[

I almost forgot.... GO ANGELS!
Go back to failboatassuming, that fucking hobbit did not deserve the MVP or RoY.

It's sad that managing is just choosing who plays when and where; if your team sucks your manager must suck as well.  If You have a horrible "closer," and you insist on using him to protect a 1 run lead and you're also taking out someone who flattened the order the inning before you deserve to lose, it's a shame they didn't.
Huh?  Do you know anything about baseball, or just what you watch on TV?  Sorry, I can't take you seriously if you think "managing is just choosing who plays when and where."  Talk about assumptions, lol.  Who's this horrible closer you are talking about?  Surely it's not Fuentes or Rivera, because niether of those guys are horrible.  One will go down as the greatest player at his position and the other was the AL saves leader.  But go on, because clearly you know what you are talking about

Fuentes isn't great, but he certainly isn't horrible.  A horrible closer doesn't have 40+ saves in a season.  Get back to me when you understand the role of a manager in a baseball game.

Brad Lidge was abysmally horrible, he still had 31 saves.

Andrew Bailey was stupidly good, he only had 26 saves.

The Angels have been among the leaders in save opportunities this entire decade.

Obviously it's the angels magical ability to win games with a 3 runs or less difference that gives their closer a lot of saves, not their actual ability.  A smart manager would care less about how many saves their "closer" got if they infact pitched horrible, oh wait that's everyone.  But that's the ignorance that comes with the use of a closer, the most overrated position in baseball.

Get back to me when you understand the role of a manager in a baseball game.
1. Figure out who is playing.
2. Sit on your ass until something happens.
3. Do something about it.
3a. If it goes right, you are a "good" manager.
3b. If it goes wrong, you are a "bad" manager.

Gee i sure feel sorry for that manager on a team with horrible talent, he can't get a good rep because his players are useless, while this guy over here has all the talent in the world and is winning games with his boneheaded moves.

Your breakdown of managerial skills is farcical.  You seem to even acknowledge it with your statement about the team's talent in regards to how the manager is viewed (seemingly by people like you).  Which one is it?

The closer is the most overrated position in baseball.  It doesn't mean they don't serve a purpose.

Poor performance on the pitching tonight.

Hamels is not consistent.  I don't even know why I am still surprised by his poor performance.

Happ was okay, he only allowed a run unlike Hamels who allowed 4.

Werth and Victorino was the only bright spot tonight.

1.  Going back to the OP:  Yes, I love baseball.

2.  Screw the Yankees.

That is all.
