Well it was after a fucking nuclear war. Don't expect guns to exactly shoot very straight.
Guns would probably still shoot relatively straight if they were still working by then. I don't think a gun without a bent barrel is going to stray shots too far off course.
I´m not talking about headshotting mutants from the churchtower 400 meters away, I´m talking about hitting giant ants 20 meters in front of you.
I´ve got no problem with the system being biased by chance and skills in general, I just hate that you have no control over it without using vats. Taking aim was pointless.

Learn to aim and use the hunting rifle Lincolns repeater and the plasma rifle you can get headshots with those guns at 50 plus feet easilySisco10 wrote:

I know how to aim, but it´s pointless and ammo wasting whithout vats. And there´s no sense in waiting to find the one rifle, that increases my chances of hitting, even though my crosshair is spot on.dill13 wrote:

i believe lincoln's repeater has zero deviation from the point you are actually aiming at iirc

It's an RPG for a reason.Sisco10 wrote:

Sure, but it fools you into being a FPS. That´s what turned me off. I have no problem with a RPG with combat like the vats system. It´s actually pretty clever. But I don´t like the FPS feeling and handling of it, without the PFS mechanics to back it up. Not my cup of coffee.Cybargs wrote:

Really reminds me of Borderlands tbh. Looks worth a try though.
Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 4GHz || 3x2 GB OCZ 1600Mhz DDR3 || 80GB Intel X25-M Gen 2 || KFA2 GTX 480 1536Mb ||| Samsung T220 || Xonar DX 7.1 || AV 40 || P6T Deluxe V2 || Win 7 HP 64 Bit || Lian Li P80
It looks like a mix of Borderlands, Fallout and a wee bit of STALKER...
I'll definately try it out...
EDIT: I love the revolver and shotgun models btw

War. War never changes.
I hope they don't use that MegaTexture shit. Quake Wars still looks grainy and off.

only thing that makes this look like border lands is the vehicle combat.

all of those are standard to the genre.FloppY_ wrote:

except the leather clothes and mutations of the bandits combined with the architecture is very similar to borderlands...Miggle wrote:

even the graphics are similiar.....
Looks like they put Fallout 3 and Borderlands into the LHC and smashed it against the generic Doom monsters.
While it does look like fun, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEW.
As already mentioned the setting is similar to Borderlands.
The drones have been there in Frontlines.
The manipulating the environment to lay traps while being sneaky was in Velvet Assassin.
Even the shown weaponry is similar to been theres with the pistol being similar in Doom 3.
Different ammo types should be fun though and the throwing knife whatever is nice.
I hope the mission design and the RPG elements will bring some depth, otherwise it will suffer like Borderlands did.

Well, borderlands was all about the weapons and Diablo2 like RPG elements...Sisco10 wrote:

Yes, but to me both were very shallow. RPG elemts is almost too much to call the gimmick feature of having one ability per character. The weapons were great fun, but despite finding lots of em, most of them were junk or too weak for you current stage. I had my share of fun nonetheless, but I´m skeptical towards the worth of a purchase of Rage from what I´ve seen so far.FloppY_ wrote:

Hey don't get me wrong, I said I'd "try" it, not "buy" itSisco10 wrote:
