I wouldn't say you guys did, your second half sucked ass and thats where the real shit starts counting.. besides Sundin going on that line with Kes provides a secondary scoring threat line besides the sedins..N00bkilla55404 wrote:

ITT: Extra point is a faggotsquads method to the playoffs.
Also, signing an old guy for 10 million and getting the production of a guy worth 2 million
Yeah, losing an entire second line and 2 of your best defencemen kind of does that.skipper2666 wrote:

Pfft, Komisarek is probably the worst. He was always playing physical with Lucic. This season, they finally drop the gloves and Lucic absolutely destroys Komisarek. Ever since, Komisarek seems to be afraid of Lucic and going after smaller guys like Krejci. Then when Chara goes in to defend Krejci, Habs fans give Chara a hard time for fighting Komisarek when Komisarek didn't want to go. Problem was, he just didn't want to go with Chara, he would have gladly have gone with somebody much smaller like Krejci.
I really like the Bruins discipline this game. The Habs played Laraque trying to make him fight somebody but everybody ignored him. During one of the whistles, Laraque was mouthing off to Lucic and Lucic was just laughing at him. Clearly, nobody takes Laraque seriously.
I wish this league wasn't a joke though, they baby the Habs way too much. Earlier in the season Ryan O'Byrne cheap shotted Kobasew, elbow to the back of the head, with less than 20 seconds to go in regulation when the Bruins had a 2 goal lead. What was his punishment? Just a 2 minute minor. Now similar play today. Thomas Plekanec with a high elbow to the head of Marc Savard. Punishment? Again, 2 minute minor. The NHL seriously should not ever claim they are trying to reduce head shots because they clearly aren't...
Oh ya, and if Carcillo gets suspended for starting the late scrum in the Flyers/Pens game, there is absolutely no reason that Lapierre shouldn't be suspended for a game for going after Kessel well after he scored the final goal. But, like I said, the NHL babies the Habs so nothing will happen from it...
edit - Was just watching the highlights on TSN.ca - Apparently Tom Kostopoulus went for an elbow to the head of Hunwick at the very end of the game. Thankfully he missed or made very minimal contact. I can't believe how dirty the Habs are and the NHL lets them get away with it...

I went to the Bruins game and it was awesome!! This is exactly the kind of game they needed going into Montreal, a complete blow out where you beat the Habs in every way, in a way that the Habs can't even remain optimistic in their home ice.
Did anybody else see it? It was on Vs and Patrice Bergeron got in his first career fight! It was a pretty damn good fight for two guys with visors:
I suggest fast forwarding to the end because the guys on Vs fail at recording fights. The end is the best video of it.

Was not a good game and habs can play much better... Oh and bruins were winning 5-1 and lucic crosschecked lapierre in the head, i hope he gets a suspension!
0-2 but we are going home, it's not over!!!

Pfft, at this point he better not get a suspension. If Lapierre didn't get a suspension for hitting Kessel well after the whistle, Plekanec didn't get a suspension for elbowing Savard in the back of the head, Schneider didn't get a penalty for spearing Savard, Kostopolous didn't get a suspension for trying to elbow Hunwick in the back of the head, and Komisarek didn't get a suspension for eye gouging Hunwick, there's no reason for Lucic to get a penalty... All those examples were playoffs, what about O'Byrne's huge cheap shot to the back of Kobasew's head with his elbow, with less than 5 seconds left in regulation when they were down 2 goals?
Besides, after looking at the TSN recap like 8x in a row and the glove hits Lapierre first. Granted, the glove rode off his face and the stick did hit him in the face, at that point, it's incidental contact. That's like giving a player a tripping penalty when he poke checked the puck away and then the other player skated into his stick. At least his punch wasn't unprovoked like all of those cheap shots listed above.
The other thing is Cammalleri punched a guy in the head the other game when the other player wasn't expecting it. Did he get a suspension? No. Why should Lucic get a suspension when the guy was skating right at him? It's not like Lucic skated into him and punched him, he was standing still.
If he does get suspended, it'll just prove how much of a joke the NHL is. Either be consistent with not making calls or be consistent with making calls. How many cheap shots have the Canadiens gotten away with on the Bruins alone not just this season, but this series? If they're going to give Lucic a suspension for one punch to the head, I think I'm going to lose it. You guys shouldn't be pissed at Lucic and should seriously be glad that none of your players got suspended yet...
edit- Just posting the Cammalleri cheap shot:

WTF?! I don't remember a game like this Is this from some exhibition game?
Lol at the bench. Sens have 3 guys sitting and Flyers a couple more in the end

Well, it's Lalime and Esche so it had to have been from a while ago..
Wow, and the NHL proves to be more of a joke every day. Nice to see how biased they are to Montreal. Looks like Montreal can get away with several elbows to Boston Bruins heads and it's called "playoff hockey," but Lucic punching Lapierre and his handing sliding off the side of his face to make the stick hit him warrants a a suspension.
How about some god damned consistency here?!

Welcome to Colin Campbell's suspension system.
How about them nucks!
I think the Sedins are gay for each other. For srs.skipper2666 wrote:

Does anybody else think watching hockey on Versus sucks? The commentators are idiots. I'm watching the Sharks-Ducks game and they just said, "After the Sharks win the first game of a series, they have never lost, they're 8-0." Really, how irrelevant is that to this game? Maybe had the Sharks won game 1, it would be relevant, but since they didn't, it was completely useless.
That is my answer to that statement.

Sadly, that one man might be enough.
Really, reeeeeally though we'd win tonight, but oh well. This is all just icing on the cake after how bad the Blues looked 4-5 months ago. I just hope that, if we go out this round, we at least win one at home for the fans...they need/deserve it.

Goaltending does win games after all...just ask the Capitals.
Kariya sounds like he might make an appearance in the 4th game.. maybe he can finally help beat luongo.
I don't really think Luongo is as big of a problem as the Blues team chemistry right now. Their special teams have killed them this series, IMO. The first night in Vancouver they failed to capitalize on numerous powerplays (including a 5 on 3), and it's as much their own fault as it is Luongo's skill - Brad Boyes in particular has been playing his heart out, but can't seem to get close to the net when he fires off a one-timer...and Andy McDonald has been playing stellar, but he hit the post 3 times in game 2. Tonight, the Blues were 0 for 6, including a 5 on 3 followed by a double-minor...if you can't capitalize on that, you don't deserve to win, period.CanadianLoser wrote:

Plus, as a response to the Canucks rough play at home, Murray played Cam Janssen...the only problem being, no one on the Canucks is dumb enough to fight (and lose to) Janssen, making his addition kind of a waste. Furthermore, he swapped Janssen for Dan Hinote, who is pretty much on the team, if for nothing else, because he's damn good at penalty kills...and whaddya know, Vancouver scored 3 out of 5 times on the powerplay. Murray's been a great coach to get this far, but I was kind of pissed that Janssen played over Hinote, because I could foresee problems on the penalty kill (and the fact that no one would want to fight him).
I do honestly think we will win the next game, but I'm not sure if we'll push it past a game 5.
But Paul Kariya might be just the thing we need...really, the ONLY thing I see him helping with after being gone so long would be the powerplay, as he probably wouldn't play much more than that. If he does come back and can play, it could make things interesting. I've seen the Blues come back to win 4 straight to finish a series before, so who knows...

Went to the Hawks game a couple days ago. My voice is still gone.
Also, Vince Vaughn was sitting in my section.
And after the game I went to a restaurant/bar with my friends...and Khabibulin shows up with his girlfriend and parents. We bought their first round of drinks.

Man, I'd love to fly over and see an official match. It doesn't need to be the playoffs, a regular season match is enough for me!

Nah. Two Stellas and the house chardonnay. I'm assuming Khabi wasn't drinking.Ultrafunkula wrote:

Yeh. If the coach would hear about Habi having booze in the middle of the most important games of the year I'd say he'd get around the ears. Oh, fun. Our season ending cruise is up on thursday. Muy plenty free drinks and cheerleaders. Makes me wish I was single againnotorious wrote:

Another Boston at Montreal game where the fans sound shaky during the national anthem. Class act up there eh? I'll give credit because it wasn't nearly as bad as the past and it sounded like half the arena was cheering while the other half was booing.
