Nice colors. Did you do the vignette in lightroom?

Yup.. it was originally going to be black and white (as I was using multiple light sources with different colour temps.. so the pic had some funky colours), but I decided on some random LR preset that I had..Kmarion wrote:

The main colour effect came from split toning - greenish to the highlights and blues to the shadows.
The vignetting was in lightroom, and I added some more in photoshop.
For the astute observer, you will also notice iTunes open on my macbook pro. Appropriate
i love lightroom!! ~~ mcminty did you save your settings as a preset? the effect is nice
Kim, I used a preset called 7Up. It's part of this set of presets: http://www.presetsheaven.com/2009/02/05 … rom-sarah/
From there I just tweaked the settings a little to get it how I wanted.

Is there a way to get Lightroom to function like Bridge where it can view and edit images from there location on the hardrive without moving them to a new catalog or group of some kind? I like some of its features it still just doesn't seem as practical as Bridge and Photoshop.
edit - Nevermind. I think I just figured how to set up a catalog without it moving the files. Will it automatically update a catalog when files are added to that folder?

what do you think? The sun was in a good spot to provide enough shadows to make it more interesting. I know there are some trees in the way, but the church is located in a park and the trees in the picture represent that. I could have moved forward and to the left and captured more of the church and less of that tree to the right, but I dont see the point.
Also one question.
Can one of you maybe explain to me how the ISO setting actually works.
I know that it represents the sensors sensitivity to light and that the bigger the ISO the more sensitive it is. And as downside you can get noise in the picture. But what happens to the sensor to make it more or less sensitive? Is it a mechanical thing or what.
Apparently in the old cameras the film had an ISO rating that showed its sensitivity to light.
