i like great wall is better because there is more ways to go and it is better for stealth (sniper spec ops)
karkand easily-the detail on the euro force maps is lacking, seems like a rush job. great idea to have the wall but there's only 1 choke point, one place a good round can be played and that's in the castle thingy. also it's got way too many vehicles for my liking, karkand will always have a place close to my heart! £6 wasted imho, played an hour on euro forces to date.
I vote karkand cause i hit 7 AT mines on GW yesterday, which i normally see, they were the only ones that have ever killed me

Played GW 16player for the first time last night.... HATED it! You had to play either Sniper, or super noob toob (AT). The map is only infantry, so there is no hiding the fact that the AA is to be used on infantry only.
I broke even, but that was only because I had to play their game (sniping)... it was just boring. No one wanted to move for a flag, because any movement (outside of the AA) was giving away your position.
Karkand doesn't have as much sniper cover, and is much more squad based.

I think Greatwall is better because the bases are spaced aprt bettter, and both teams have an uncappable.
Great Wall offers a multi-winning strategy.
Karkand has become too familiar and a very "easy" map. Great Wall offers a "see-saw" of battle. From hitting the enemy from the ground, from the Wall, and from the outside walls. It focues, heavily on infantry battle, and the use of vehicles are purposeful, but very quickly thwarted. Unlike in Karkand where Vehicles are virtually a must and therefore AT's and Engineers and Spec Ops are more heavily played. On Great Wall I have seen a great mix of Support, Medics, Snipers, Assult, and Spec Ops. Enginners and AT's take a bit of a back seat.

Karkand is best no doubt. It's very well made and im still getting fun out of it after 223 hours. Great wall is definetly more fun for sniping.
In the 16 player map, I agree. In the 64 player though, the Ordinance badge is an easy win using mines at the gates; it's dark and many players try to fly through in vehicles.Lt_Santiago wrote:

I need more time with the map before I make my final opinion, but for now, I would say hell no to the 16 player. It's just spawn camping 101.
I like them both for different reasons. I will always love my super high scoring rounds on Karkand. Greatwall is good fun, it is not as fun as Karkand, but I love the Euroforce weapons.
In case you didn't know I am on a crucade AGAINST Karkand, so great Wall all the way! Cheack out my "Strike on Karkand thread!"
I like Great Wall because I need time for PLA and EURO for the service medals, so this is the perfect map. But, this map lags the hell out of my rig, which plays all the other maps smoothly. In addition, this map does have infantry whores and such. You know, PKM whores, claymore lamers, noob tubers etc. I love AT mines in this map though. I had 26 AT mine kills in one round, it was nice.
I agree for the most part, but there are still plenty of engineers roaming around. Those AT mines are very effective on the Great Wall, and it prevents tank whores from just sweeping in and killing everyone on the ground. Only good thing is that people on the walls are virtually protected from armor, which can be good if some tank whore thinks he can just pwn all the noob fates because of his l33t skill, even though he is nine. You've got that problem on Karkand, and that's enough for me to frown at it.Lt_Santiago wrote:

Im running a 24/7 great wall.. wit people 24/7 on it (lucky) so theres my answer
Although I love great wall, I think Karkand is better

I prefer GW much more, because i have not seen any baseraping on this map.
I cant stand Karkand any more. Its main drawback is: the ever growing number of morrons...
