Danis with an awesome shutout against the Devils tonight...and the Rangers got pushed back to 8th.

Did you sleep for two goals? It was 4-0 dork. Spoiler (highlight to read):Poseidon wrote:

ye ye I know what you meant
Wonder when the Rangers are going to wake up and trade Lundqvist for a good goalie? Or a bucketful of pucks. Or then just pucks. Or just the bucket. "I not proud of the 1853 pucks I stopped during last season. What keeps me up at night is the eleventyfivethousand pucks I didn't stop because I turned on the magical magnet vaccuum at special occasions of games here and there" This is not THE season. Again.
I actually wouldn't mind if the Canes took their place in the playoffs since they clearly don't want to play in the spring anyways. Would have some Finnish guys to support on.
I'm telling you man, it's not Lundqvist. Sure, he's extremely cold right now, but he's not the problem. It's your chemistry. And when you bring Avery back as you most likely will, it'll be shot to hell. The reason Avery was let go was because Chris Drury apparentely had major problems with him. Now Sather wants to bring him back?Ultrafunkula wrote:

sharks = 4-2-4
stars = 6-4-0
hard choice really, cause the sharks are 40-8-9 and are at #1 right now but last ten games they seem to be losing it.
I'd say stars.

Bye bye Tom
Holy crap, the Bruins actually looked like the Bruins last night! Playing very physical and dominating every aspect of the game. Let's hope they actually keep it up.
Alright, finally a decent trade going on! Pittsburg traded Ryan Whitney to Anaheim for Chris Kunitz and Eric Tangradi. Which leads to my next point. There's been talks of Pronger being traded for the past month or so and now that they have Whitney, it seems that much more believable. I'd love to see him come over to Boston. Should be a trade something like:
To Bos: Chris Pronger
To Ana: Matt Lashoff or Mark Stuart, Joe Colborne, and a 1st round pick
Chris Pronger has another year on his contract and the Bruins are going to have a hell of a time resigning their RFA's in the off-season so hopefully they can trade up on draft day for a better 1st round pick.

HUUUUGE games tonight in the east. Carolina vs. Buffalo and Florida vs. Rangers.
Can't wait!

A maybe small move was made by the Canadiens today. A small that may predict a bigger one? Don't know but by trading Steve Bégin against Doug Janik from Dallas. Doug Janik will be free to be chosen by any team. If not claimed he will be turned down to the Hamilton Bulldogs. There's a big drop from the salary cap. Could this predict a future move? What's Gainey's view? I'm thinking of a center. Most likely it will be an east-west trade. To get something like an impact center who against who? Most likely also more than just one player.
They picked up Glen Metropolit from waivers. Not a big move but a good move. I really liked him when he was in Boston, wished he didn't leave but oh well. Now there's a small part of Montreal that I hate to admit that I like...Jean_Peste_tu? wrote:

That guy was an awfull good playmaker when he was in Fin. Couldn't stand Metro, coz he played for our rivals. He was one of those "why-the-fuck-didn't-we-get-that-guy" playersFrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

Looks like Guerin got traded (nobody knows the team yet) and Gomez is about to be...
