Blasphemous fool! UO was basically the CoD-equivalent of BF1942, it was too big and vehicles/extra-weapons were failcake. Plus, it never had the competitive community of CoD1, none of the teams or leagues felt the necessity to move over to an expansion that was so instrinsically different from the original. But that's for another day...

I hit someone in the head with the sniper rifle and he doesn't die, I hit him twice and nothing, i hit him three times and nothing. After 30 minutes it registers and he dies, but by that time i've been macete murdered by someone.
And if I had to choose a weapon, I would definitely choose the Kar98 over any other weapon in the world, even over ak47, mp5 and garand.

CoD2 was by far my least favorite. It was a watered down CoD1. Graphics were ugly, to me anyway. Gameplay felt consolized. etc. etc.

and yes it was watered down, but it also had a few improvements, and the modding community was phenomenal.
CoD5 feels much more like the unconsolized CoD1/UO.
CoD2 was incredibly consolized. Simple weapons, simple and cheap ass maps, no recoil on the guns (you could hit someone from 50 feet with a pistol). I thougt I was playing a dumb downed call of duty meant for 5 year olds.

So true, i played the original on day 1 of release in 2004. The original COD was probably the best FPS MP ever, i got cod2 and was like "wtf is this shit", it feels nothing like the first. COD4 was like.........wow.....this is the most retarded point and click bullshit ive ever seen. Im not bothering with this new one. I have call of duty 2, and it isn't as much fun. After playing the cod 5 mp beta, however, I would like to get this game.
