I bought CoD4 on Sunday, and have not been able to play MP. I managed to squeeze in a few rounds on Sunday, but when I came back to it after a break, it crashed. I thought it was no big deal, but I can't play the multiplayer. When I click on Join Game to view the server list, it crashes. I've already reinstalled, and that hasn't helped. Any help is welcome.
have you been playing the zombie mod? if that's the case i believe you have to launch zombie mod and change the server filters back to normal, then you will be able to go back to vanilla and use the browser.
Also, is your game updated to the latest patch?
Well, I just tried that, but whenever I try to launch it in ZM mode or ModWarfare, it crashes and I get an error message, saying:aj0404 wrote:

DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable problem. See the readme for possible solutions.
And yes, Steam patches it automatically.
