Hello guys,

Well I noticed that whenever a round ended I didn't hear the 'Vicotry' or 'Lose' music, nor do I hear any music whatsoever in Single Player. Making the campaign very boring. I thought maybe reinstalled would help. So I wanted to save my profile with all my red tigers but I couldn't find the file to save. I was told go to (I have Vista) C:/users/<name>/AppDate...etc...

But when I got to the AppData, I couldn't find the file! Can any1 please help me. I really think the game is boring with no music. Here's the error I get in the console.

Please help. +2 to whoever solves this one...

all your progress is saved in the file mpdata located in your cod4/players/profiles/PLAYERNAME/ folder (where playername is your profile name).

actually, reading more about it LOL:

All OS:
What you need to do is copy your mpdata file in order to back up your profile but the location changes depending on what OS your running so...

Windows XP:
C:\Program Files\Activision\players\profiles\(your profile name)

Windows Vista x86:
With UAC Disabled:
C:\Program Files\Activision\players\profiles\(your profile name)

With UAC Enabled:
C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

Windows Vista x64:
With UAC Disabled:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\players\profiles\(your profile name)

With UAC Enabled:
C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

With Steam:
C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\(your name on steam)\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\(your profile name)

Then make sure your mpdata file is on like a jump drive or an external HDD this way if you ever need to reinstall you'll still have it. Then if you ever need to restore it just copy it back into whatever folder you got it out of. Hope this helps some people out.

Ok I had to install twice. The first time I did like I did when I got the game, I put the .asi to .bak so I could play MP. Donno if I won't have that problem since now I'm using a headset.

RIGHT NOW everything works fine. But my sound files are still .asi so I hope everything works later.
