I got a razer tarantula keyboard
Tell me how it is, i wanted it.
Also is are the keys backlit?
It kicks ass, had mine for ages now. And no they aren't backlit (the macro keys are and so is the profile key, rest isn't).Gooners wrote:

You can make any key do whatever you want, it's just the only dedicated macro keys are on the sides
i wish it was fully backlit, it's the only thing about it that bugs me.
EDIT:I just checked my config thing, you cant make them all macros, just change the key assignment to a different letter.

Refurbished hence the price, it shits on anything else under £800 tho (graphics wise at least).
They have some left if anyone wants linkage.
EDIT: Sod it, linky
I got mine from Dixons but they're sold out, Currys are the same company, that's the same item, I'd expect it to dissapear soon as I've got two mates who have also bought one.

Also, I might go for the Razer Lycosa instead then...
A passive 4850 is fine. A 3870 must innately run hotter then a 4850, but my 4850 with a passive Accelero S1r2 only hits 72C at load. This agrees with other benchmarks of a passive 4850. I wouldn't do any overclocking without an 80mm fan strapped to it, though it would do it fine.Freezer7Pro wrote:
50C idle equals over 100C load. My 3870 and S1 with plenty of airflow would reach about 120C and then shut the PC off.

Knowing the average Dixons customer, they couldn't find the power button, they're 12 month guaranteed anyway i think, and I'm an I.T. Tech by trade so it's a safe bet for me.Gooners wrote:

I'd get the Lycosa if I were you, I will be as soon as the 'Mirror' edition one comes out.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Well, maybe because they're the most price-worthy processors on the market?
