anyone know a good caracal setup? my current is
Low Slots:
Type-D Power Core Modification x2
Med Slots:
Invulnerability Field I x2
10mn Afterburner
Large Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I x2
High Slots
5x Malkuth Assault Launchers
This setup right now brings me to 6169 shield points and i can kill any rat i come across in L2 missions, but i want to kill them faster.
Highs: 5x Malkuth Assualt Launchers (rat specific ammo)
Mids: 2x Active Rat Hardeners (the orangey shields-for me its usually EM and Therm), 1x Shield Recharger I, 2x LSE (Large Shield Extender I)
Lows: 2x Ballistic Control Units I(BCU's)
So apart from hardeners its completely passive, i can tank and deal dps solo to sruvive all but Recon 1 and 2 (thats if i wanna get bounties) and i think maybe "The Blockade".
Btw a great website for mission info is: http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports
honestly, i have never ever ever had any problems with any lvl2 mission with the cara set up i posted.
i don't even ever bother changing ammo types, bloodclaws rape enough.

Do you download it, or do you buy it in stores.
I've seriously been considering getting this instead of HAWX for PC.

3's are easy. 4's... are a different story.

To be honest, as brilliant as Yahtzee is, you can't base the most expansive MMO out on just a 14 day trial (most likely 1 or 2 days), without meeting any players in the game. That's the flaw involved in reviewing MMO's. It's like playing an FPS but not shooting a gun. I laughed at a lot of it anyway but .
Yeah but if you need to play it for more than two weeks for it to start being fun, then you're board for two weeks. Two weeks that could be spent playing a game that you actually found fun.Jestar wrote:

is kinda funny. but yeah he didnt play anywhere near long enough to make an honest review. I hated the game for the first couple months I played but continued to do so because 4 or 5 of my friends played. it just takes a while to get setup. and even longer if you try to play alone like he did. if I had tried to go it alone I would have quit the first couple days.
That's the problem with MMOs though isn't it, you have to play it for ages to just start getting enjoyment out of it - this is the reason I'll never be into this kind of shit because as you're "not enjoying" it you still have to pay for it.
Furthermore if the folks at EVE headquarters thought that a 14 day trial was enough to get someone hooked it seems they were painfully mistaken if apparently long-term players believe that it takes a couple of months to start to enjoy it. A couple of months for chrissakes, that's a sixth of a year!

lawl, ive never taken Yahtzee's reviews as anything more than snappy words and quick(ish) witted humour. He just takes bad aspects of the games, and describes them in a paragraph filled with big exotic words. In my eyes he fills the role of, stupid, elitist, self loving social jock, who thinks spending more than 5 minutes actually playing a game makes you repel the female sex or some other bizarre thing that they can imagine. Imo its brilliant entertainment, but ass poor reviews.
I disagree, I think he has a keen critical eye, hence the fact that he is a critic. His delivery is done in a way which is humerous and thus entertaining, hence his popularity. Mostly though as soon as he negatively reviews a game that someone else liked he is instantly shit-canned by even the most loyal followers which is dumb because if you watch him review a game and expect him not to critisise it you're stupid, one because if you follow Croshaw's reviews you'll know he ALWAYS criticises it and two, because he's a critic. People are dumb.
He's not the "jock type etc." though Phay, have you seen the guy? He's a lanky brit/australian gaming geek and he knows it. Hell he makes games and used to write webcomics, I hardly think he fits into the
