Sandisk 4GB MicroSDHC Memory Card
Unfortunately the people who take care of my Ecuador trip seem to be exceedingly anti-hot fashion-wise. But I'll try anyway. No short shorts? I mean come on, that's what summer's about. Guess I'll just have to take pics back here in good ol' CT...Volatile wrote:

A 24" LCD screen
It didn't deliver with DVI cable, though, so it looks crap right now
I was with dad to sweden today, for an interview with IDG (Concerning the projector I won), and we were gonna buy some stuff for his house (renovation project), and after we were done, we went, mainly to look, to the PC City store in the same building. I walked around, looking at stuff, when dad came and said that I could get something. Knowing my dad (He's very impulsive), I walked to a clerk and asked for their selection of 22" screens. They had one, for 100€, which was utter shit. So, I took a step up, and asked for 24-inchers. They had a couple, one 650€ one, which had horrible specs and only VGA, some really shitty ones, and this one, the one I got, a Packard Bell 240W. It had the best combination of specs, and one of two which actually had DVI.
I told dad, I was totally ready for a "FUCK NO!", but he just said, "Ok, we'll take one of these" to the clerk. He paid 400€, and we went home.
I was like , he is impulsive, but he tends to care about cash.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Honestly I have an LCD monitor and I can't tell the difference between VGA and DVI. It's like a gimmick. I understand VGA has to go from digital to analogue to digital, but it doesn't really make a real life difference.
Some people, it's all in the head. Really. You know, like only when you're told there's a difference do people go "ooh yeah"
Also holy shit @ massive grey empty space at either side. Can't you get BF2s to be more flexible?

DVI and VGA does little difference on lower resolutions and cheap panels. However, moving up in the resolutions (HD and up), the analogue signalling of VGA becomes more evident. I've got a slight shadowing effect, all lines have a weak shadow to the right, and quite a lot of noise.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

As for the grey space, I don't care. I rarely use this computer for web browsing. It's 80% games, 15% movies, and 5% other.

I actually do notice a difference myself. I find VGA tends to produce duller colors than DVI. DVI seems really bright and vivid when compared to VGA. Also, VGA looks...unclear. DVI is sharp and crisp.Mek-Stizzle wrote:
